That's great news to hear, I'll have to educate myself on how to resurrect them, the repair function of the battery charger didn't do it.

5 ton Ill check the connections, the recent charging and testing has been with the batteries separately on 12v chargers.

Mine are maintenance free I don't think they're AGM, at least I didn't see it on the battery anywhere. I've had my genius 7200 set on 24 volt and had it maintaining the truck through the slave Port since I've owned it which has been a few years now

Thanks for the replies. I figured if the tires were getting too old I'd look for newer 395s. Mine look good, just the age was concerning me, for on road use anyway. What about running the 2 good military batteries for now, just removing the 2 bad ones?

Made a portable press to help drill my torque rod ends for safety plates. It works great, might not fit the upper inners, but fits the rest. Shop supervisor pebbles on site.

Thank you! I think Ill pass on the welding, my concern also was causing a separation and I'm not a fan of cooling the weld with water, that's a no no on welds I've been taught. I think I'm going to build a little Contraption to help me put pressure on the drill under the truck when I'm drilling...

Checked all my torque rod ends by flexing them, I do this around quarterly, they all pass, but are looking kind of crusty, I plated one last year that I think didnt flex back as it should. I drilled and tapped that one, I want to do the rest as a precaution, but it is a pain in the but, does...

Had the piglet on fire watch while burning brush for 12 hours... lots of brush, had to run the hose up the hill and douse a smoldering stump. Did a nice little putt around afterwards.

I do like this option better than going through the hassle of setting up the PTO unless there's an advantage to running the PTO That I don't know about.
