Okay since we have got this truck we have had starting problems when it firsts starts up OR sits for awhile. We recently replaced the fuel pump becuase we thought it wasnt getting enough fuel, which it was. We ended up putting a new fuel pump in from a 6.5 diesel. The problem has gotten better...

I am looking to paint my m1008 and i am wondering where do you buy the paint. I am looking for that military green look like this truck has: Thankyou!

rear bumper for sale $100. It has a very very slight bend as shown in picture but dont be fooled it fits.

Go to a local autoparts store they will have this chassis paint for cheap. They look like spray paint cans. I would buy four cans... i just recently did my chassis in my m1008.

Put a cummins in it!

the reason why i got a the 5spd getrag is becuase i know some one who did the same converion of putting a cummins in a chevy but keeping the gm tranny. he went through about 10 tannys then finally went to a 5sp getrag and its been working perfect every since. and thankyou for the tips on what to do!

I found out a company that makes motor mounts to fit a cummins into a gm truck. so atleast i dont have to fabracate my own!

Just the other day i got a 1993 cummins 5spd manuel to put in my m1008. I am doing this for my senior project to graduate high school.... anyway I was wondering if anyone else has done something else like this becuase I have some questions about somethings. Please let me know

what are you asking? tires? lift? you can put 36's on a cucv and just trim the fender a little bit at stock height

I pulled my m1008 it was my first truck pull ever. i was doing great until it shifted second automatically!!! after that it was over. the detrot lockers front in rear and 456 gears come in handy! Forget about that it shifted automatically with turbo 400!
