Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

Great post. I'm going to add that link to the OP. The one I bought was $33 more than that, but has a coiled cable intended to keep the cable cinched up and tidy. Take some pics of your setup hooked up and we'll compare notes to see if this was $33 extra dollars well spent or not ;-)

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

Nice, congrats. Is this Worcester, MA? I'm just down the pike in Cambridge if you are. Nice looking trailer: looks like you support legs for it! That's really cool: I could use some of those during the loading phase of my upcoming (bonkers) trip.

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

Minor little panic attack :!:: I'm aware that you can no longer drive "vehicles" out of GL lots and instead they must be hauled out. But, your photo of your trailer on a trailer makes me worried that this is true for trailers too?! I was making an assumption that my trailer would get towed out...

Me too: I had to check box C and change business use from "personal" to "home owner". WTH, hahaha.

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

Just got some bad news from Silver Eagle: I called them up to talk about what kind of lighting system the trailer has, and what would and would not work if a 12V truck was towing it. Mike from Silver Eagle stated that the 24V tail lights would work, but be dim. But he thinks the LED marker...

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

I bid something like $880 or whatever, and the other guy's autobid shot my next bid to $1039.99. Barf. Oh well. I have no idea if GL runs the bids up, that would be pretty unethical if they did. But regarding the last minute bidding, that's what I do--and outlined in my original post. I...

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

I recommend the following: eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices It's a military to civilian wiring harness--it's my understanding that our 12V civilian vehicles will be able to drive the 24V lights on these trailers. Note: I haven't...

I will post them as soon as I pick it up (which is probably 30 days away based on this being my first EUC)

Not presently in the road map, but this trailer definitely does open up a lot of possibilities for a very cool camper trailer project. Cool: Camper Trailers | Off Road Camper Trailers Australia

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

Thanks for the tip. I found one on eBay (being sold by a fellow HMLer) that has the entire kit: bows, mounting hardware, and canvas soft top. Can't wait to get this all put together.

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

Thanks, glad to be a part of this great forum. I'm not shy about my price point. I didn't get a really good deal compared to what most people pay, but for me I was under a time crunch--and these are 2009(s) if that means anything. To me that means a trailer that has been much less used and...

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

I won't argue on the price point, this one was a gouge for sure :x This is for my Vegas place, not Boston and I actually plan to pick up the trailer with my H1 on the way to Canada. Pretty silly all the way around, but I figure it's an adventure. Just getting all my ducks in a row will be...

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

This topic is meant to chronicle my purchase of a M1101 trailer from GovLiquidation.com. I've created this thread in order to document all of the things that need to be done when purchasing an auctioned trailer. At a high level, a prospective buyer needs to go through the following ten steps...
