RWH just serviced it and fixed what needed to be fixed (and replaced what was missing), with the main thing being installing a new 6.5 TD (the old one developed a bad knock on the first test drive). I also had him install the new wheels and 40" tires that are shown in the picture above...

Retired War Horses is in Brentwood, CA. He is very active on the HMMWV forum (and related Facebook groups), and as far as I can tell the most knowledgeable HMMWV guy there is. I had the truck shipped to him from Yermo, CA, where it was auctioned.

I'm in Arlington, VA. Bought an M1165a1 back in October, which has been serviced/repaired by Retired War Horses, and is coming home in a couple of weeks.

Here are the Cepek rims with 40" Milestar Patagonia tires. Note that these are sitting in front of the stock wheel/tire and thus may look a bit bigger than they are. The truck is still at RWH, but once I get it delivered I can post pictures with the wheels and tires mounted.

I'm tempted. Edit: On second thought, I'd rather just hope for the best and deal with what arrives than be bombarded with all of the things that could possibly be wrong with it. You guys are awesome though. I've learned a ton on this forum already.

Do those seat belts attach to the back of the seat or do they go down to the floor?
