I am currently active duty military and recently relocated from California to Tennessee. Florida is my home of record, so all of my vehicles are registered through the FLHSMV except my M915A1 and M871, which are registered in CA due to the ease of transferring the title/registration when I...
USAA partners with Progressive for any classic or commercial vehicle insurance. Ended up getting "commercial insurance for private use only" for my M915A1 through them via referral through USAA.
Went through USAA who is partnered with Progressive for anything they can't insure...such as my M915A1. Finally got them to drop the minimum $750,000 liability coverage...they kept telling me that was the CA minimum but couldn't prove it. Worked the premium down to just under $305/6 months. I...
I asked...they won't. I explained that I'm just trying to get someone to leave a note on an item to see if the buyer can contact me...not asking for the buyer's info mind you...just a simple request.
Made an in person visit to the local State Farm today....they went the commercial vehicle for personal use route, and cited they couldn't go any other route since it's over 10,000 lbs. I thought everything was going well until we got to the end....no Collision or Comprehensive coverage since it...

That's interesting. I bought an M915A1 from a buddy who had his insured through State Farm for the past 8 years. I contacted his insurance agent and asked to transfer the insurance over to me and thought I was good after making the payment and getting the insurance card. Then, two weeks later...
Thanks Mullaney...I'm going to check the fuel pump screen next. Can't see inside the tank as there's a built-in screen inside the fuel fill neck.
Thanks Simp....will do. Interesting bit of troubleshooting with throwing it neutral but that makes sense.
Might be a few weeks before I get back...
Hello all,
I recently purchased a 1884 M915A1. It was a 1992 rebuild and was bought at auction in 2013, driven less than 300 miles/year since. I drove it home just under 500 miles a few weeks ago and towards the end of the trip it developed a tendency to stall at the stop sign/light if I...
Thanks for the inputs. Not looking to secure a container, so I think I'll just go with J-Hook ratchet straps for crated or palletized items and chains for vehicles.

Thanks Mullaney...great info! So from that thread it looks like you use the tiedown rings in the circle cutouts to secure cargo other than containers, and would have to use the double "J" hooks straps.
