fuel guage goes way past full on M1009

Has anybody had an issue with the fuel guage going way past full, it does go back down as i use the fuel that is in there, i'm just wondering if they had allowed the right amount of reading on the guage for the M1009s since they do have a 27 gallon tank, i have never let it gone down past 1/2...

Bought A M1009 Turn In Won't Start Help

I would start off by making sure all the grounds are tight and do not have rust all over them, on my M1009 there is a ground wire that is next to the front battery, then another one that is down on the frame by the motor (next to the front batt) under the dash on the driver side there is a 6...

I am getting ready to test the block heater on my 86 M1009, if it turns out to be bad and i have to replace it, is there anything i should expect coming out of the engine when i take it off, IE oil, coolant, bats, shell casing. sorry to sound intellectually disabled on this subject but i am new...

    turn signal problems

check to see if your ground wire is still attached to the grounding port, it is located on the driver side wall just up under the dash, it could be breaking loose or came off all together

    Paint by numbers

I tried painting by numbers once, i kept going outside the lines, it's hard painting a whole truck when all they give you is a paintbrush, a little jar of paint and a glass of water :cookoo:

Installed new battery, now it won't start

if both batterys check out good and connected properly, check for a loose ground, mine is mounted just below the front battery close to the engine, if it still connected it might also be so rusted or got to much corrosion on it that it is not making a good ground, take it loose and sand down all...

Fresh M1009 recovered from Ft. McCoy--starter in cab?

yeah you r able to bench test it with a battery or a jumper pack, we did that and noticed it was not engaging like it should have, so we dismantled it and found it really scummy inside, the brushes had alot of life left but the copper ring and the copper bolts were just black as can be, cleaned...
