    MEP-003A

Thanks for your input. I'll pull the cap and valve out of the IP again and check for correct installation. Even though there is fuel getting to all injector when I pull the lines off, there seems to be no fuel actually getting to cylinders 1 & 2. Absolutely noting coming out of the stack when...

With the injector fuel supply line off, when you turn the engine over should you just see a small spurt coming out of the lines or should it be a significant spurt of 6 or 8 inches? Wondering about pressure.

    MEP-003A

Well Sir, got everything back together but no go. Took all injector line off to make certain fuel was getting there and afirm. getting no smoke from exhaust on cylinders 1 & 2 but getting dark smoke out of 3 & 4 stack. All gov and solenoid linkage working fine along with heaters and glow plugs...

    There is no spacer Sir.

    MEP-003A

So I looked at a different picture in the TM and there was the spacer. I need to check the out.

Sorry, didn't answer your question. I used a little grease to help hold the spring in place during reassembly. Spring did not want to cooperate.

    MEP-003A

Well Sir, I don't recall a spacer. There is a gasket, which is what the TM calls it. Could this be what you're talking about?

    MEP-003A

One thing I failed to mention, right after all the problems started, I removed the IP delivery cap nut, the holder, the gasket the spring and the valve to insure the plunger wasn't stuck. All seemed good so I put everything back in place but it did not help. Could I have buggered something up...

    MEP-003A

Thank is correct. I ran the unit about 3 weeks ago, under load, and it purred. I shut it down after about 30 minutes. The next day I started it up as usual, but failed to hold the start switch in until oil pressure built up. This is when all the problems started. Now the first 2 cylinders (from...

If the start/stop solenoid is working good but the fuel valve on the side of the IP, sometimes, does not open, what could be the issue?

    MEP-003A

So with master switch moved to the prime/run position, this only primes fuel to the pump and does not prime to the injectors. IS this correct please?

    MEP-003A

    that should have read genset

    MEP-003A

Is it common to get a pretty good spark when connecting the positive battery terminal to the genes and if yes, why please.

    MEP-003A

when you move the start switch to the prime/run position, should this activate the start/stop solenoid?

    MEP-003A

So the CB2 on my MEP 003A had a major "come-apart" yesterday and I cannot find a replacement anywhere. Does anyone know of a good replacement please.

    MEP-003A

The heater was very hard to unscrew from the head and very hard to screw back in as well. The other 3 came out and went back in very smoothly. The hard one was the last cylinder furtherest from the fan.

    MEP-003A

But that was with the heaters removed and connected directly to the batteries. So I know they were getting 24V
  19. J

    MEP-003A

takes about 22 seconds for them to get glowing red hot

    MEP-003A

heaters are all good but, I'm only getting 21v to the heaters with 24v going into K2. will this cause the heaters not to get hot enough.
