    M270 / LB20 Trailer Mods

It would make sense that a 22.5 demountable would bolt right on I just couldn't find any evidence to that point. The reason I say makes sense, is that 22.5" wasn't always a popular size. When it hit home many manufactures probably offered a new style rim to let older trucks use the new size...

    M270 / LB20 Trailer Mods

That's the issue wit Dayton style wheels...you are kinda stuck with what you have. The centers are bolted to the hub with 5 nuts so you have two choices. Find a 22.5" center that will mount to your hub. Or swap out the hub to Budd style. I'm fairly certain they don't make 22.5" demountable...

Jim are you trying to replace the entire wheel or find a 22.5" open that will bolt on to your spoked centers?

cure for death wobble on stock m1028

Bias ply tires will enhance a worn front ends wobble. Service the front end like suggested and balance the tires with Equal. It is awesome even in radials.

Towing a commercial trailer with an M-series 5-Ton

Might want to be careful with that. I hear it's a gamble on how it's actually wired. Turns out not a lot of 12 volt accessory options in the early 80's... I'd be willing to be a lot of the earlier trucks or those that never got re-worked are wired 24v... After all the cigarette doesn't...
