It costs almost as much to make it as it sells for (speaking as someone who baled and stacked just over 1000 bales last year)...
Perhaps if she had to help bale it she wouldn't be as interested in hayburners (does NOT work in my case, I have to fight to be the one driving the tractor vs stacking...
steelypip and Isaac-1 nailed it. Hertz on the output is a function of how fast the generator head is spinning and it will be the same on all legs of the same genset (unless someone did something REALLY weird with the windings when they made the generator head). Converting from 3 phase to single...
Look at "blade guides" for snowplows (ie: http://www.amazon.com/Blade-Guide-Florescent-Orange-Pair/dp/B0043WFZPQ/ ) they are florescent orange, bendable and should work. Some are even wired with lights inside so you can see them better at night.

1. Get a meter that will display volts and hertz ($30 at Lowes will get you a Kill-A-Watt which does this, $60 will get you something like my Ideal 61-340) and check the accuracy of the gauges. They do fail as do their transducers.
2. Put a load on it that can handle high/low voltages (a 1500...
There are dollies that have brakes on them, but by the time you are spend the money to get one of those, you are most of the way to a full blown trailer (which would be more versatile).

Do you have a way to hook up a generator now (ie a transfer switch or interlock)?
If so, for a hundred (or so, now counting insurance or damage fees) you could rent a 10-15 KW trailer mounted genset from a commercial rental place (or if you know someone who has one that they could bring over)...
The cynic in me says that it may have been done to fool someone who didn't know better, but I am sure that there could be a valid reason to mislabel such a generator, I just cant think of one...

That's pretty much what Volvo did on their 700 series cars in the pre-ABS days. Dual piston calipers in the front, single piston calipers in the rear. Each circuit ran both fronts and one back.

The problems I have heard with that are twofold:
1. Will this replace or supplement a gas tax?
2. If it replaces the gas tax and I am someone who lives in NY and spends most of my time put of state (a hotshotter, salesman, RVer, etc who drives 3k miles out of 30k in NY for example), NY will get...
The "Fuel System Restoration" page (Fuel System Restoration-POR-15 Inc.) said that the kit will seal a 25 gallon tank.
I have never personally used it, but I have heard good things about it from people who do tractor restorations.

On the generator, have you looked at getting a diesel one so that you can run off the same fuel as the truck?
Sewerzuk had a build for a MEP-003A to remotely auto-start it which should be adaptable to a smaller unit as long as it is electric start.
See...
A 1' piece with a NPT fitting on the other end, a matching NPT to barbed connector and some diesel rated fuel line might be cheaper if someone else is doing this down the road...

If you will be running multiple scene lights (ie: if you turn them on in pairs), you could run 2 in series (ie: positive on light 1 connecting to negative on light 2 just like your batteries) and be able to run them directly off of the 24v system.
That could reduce the load on your converter...
IIRC, it should be 24V negative ground with 2 12V batteries wired in series (Positive on Batt1 goes to the engine/fusepanel, Negative on Batt1 goes to Positive on Batt2 and Negative on Batt2 goes to the frame/ground).
