They definitely worked as advertised, albeit a little pricey but what specialty tool isn't. Kit with drill, tap, countersink tool and insert tool along with 5 time serts for a hundred bucks was worth it for this project

I'm not 100% on the m37 as mines not quite there yet but I know the 5 ton m-62 and m-816 I have use something similar as backlighting in the gauge as the military gauge has an opening on the sides between the face and glass that lets the light in

I have an early 1951 M-51 gasser recently aquire and getting running it's an international Harvester and I also have a 1955 m-62 wrecker gasser international Harvester
I can't say that I've seen that yet but I just drug home a pretty original M-51 early 1951 model of you need any pictures or measurements id be glad to help
I've been working on some R6602 engines lately myself and just got an early M-51 dump truck running was able to get some parts on eBay and got it running like a top
I've been working on putting an old M-62 wrecker back together that had an 6602 in it that had a bad head or head gasket with water in the oil. I was able to find one on eBay up in Akron Ohio at sam winners that apparently came from a military firetruck at some point. Got it running last fall...
