    WWII Jeep soft doors?

Did any US Jeeps use full size soft doors in WWII? I know they did in Korea, and that the Brits did in WWII, but US?

    Awesome video of wheeled armor

This is a great video showing in detail French AMX-10 6x6 w/90mm gun. Very advanced, very effective in long range operations. You don't need to understand French to appreciate their vehicles. Footage of VBLs, too.

    New V-100

You gotta do the heim joint mod on the shift linkage if you ever what it to shift consistently. My 6 year old can shift mine now.

    Ferret pulling a trailer

I would be concerned with overheating the fluid flywheel under tow. Ferrets are not particularly powerful and the added drag might be a real problem You cook a flywheel, you are not going anywhere for a long time; and its a major bear to change out.

    ASK up-armored doors

I agree completely with jwaller on all his points. Additionally, these heavily caused almost as many deaths due to the overloading the design as were saved by the armor. It is not heavy enough armor for IED protection but enough to seriously compromise every positive aspect of the vehicle. They...

    crossing border (canada)

I don't know myself, but do your self a big favor and call customs and find out for sure what you need to do. Don't lie or try to tweek anything. If it backfires you could be in serious trouble.

    New V-100

Looks great. Looks like Earl has lost some weight, too.

    Tanks from the past

The numbering everyone is using is confusing. But, 29 is a British Centurian, not Chieftain. 34 is Swedish "S" tank as mentioned.

    Tanks from the past

    #8 British Centurian, #11 Swedish "S" Tank, #14 Soviet BTR-60, #15 British CVR(W) FOX, #16, M-551 Sheridan, #18 M-20 Locust, #21 M-8, #22 M-3 Lee

    New V-100

I disagree entirely, Rory. This has been a ten year project of a little detailing here and there until finally where you want it. Mine was overhauled at Lexington in 1975 hence the white interior. It was destined for Germany until the program was cut, hence the smoke dischargers. I like the NATO...

    New V-100

You are painting it standard NATO three color. I like the colors just fine, which is why I used it ten years ago. As for 2qt canteens, they actual entered service in Vietnam in 1967, so use away...

    New V-100

Those 2qt. Canteens are 69 dated. I would not have used them otherwise.

    Pinzgauers for sale somewhere ???

SOCOM bought 718s years ago as mentions. The Special Marines (formerly Force Recon) ended up with most. These for sale certainly were on a US base. I looked at them personally, only 25 miles away...

    Canadian MIG 21s!

I liked the part of Beavers being executed in Kentucky as a protest....

    The Camper Apocalyptic?

I have the exact model generator but have not run it much. How do you like it?

    New V-100

I've driven all 4 mentioned types and the Goodyears are a good choice. I'm not sure of the safety aspects of the originals. Old rubber, no matter how thick, can deteriorate really fast. Ask any old timers who drove dump trucks and other off road equipment. The last Goodyear 14x20s I bought were...

    New V-100

Heim joints make a huge difference in the shift linkage. Really tightens it up and you can run through the gears pretty well. No more fishing around. Steering feel depends greatly on the tires. Original tires aren't too bad, they like to wander a bit. NDs are terrible; wouldn't wish them on...

    m1a1 ownership?

Actually the one Reed has is an early prototype, not even armor. It is a TACOM loan vehicle, not really his.

    Pinz's in the Pacific NW

He is probably referring to the fact that it is a 710K model, which is a hardtop, and indeed is much more rare than the 710M. In that regard, he might be correct. 710k do bring more money but in this market I think he is not being very realistic.
