Just thought that I would hop on and remind folks who are comming who have cb's to bring them. After the last couple of years, it looks like they are the most commonly owned radios that we can use for trail comunications.
Meanwhile, other than Ferro's and my routes up to the rally, I'm...
Good to hear that you are going to grab Neil as you drive up... He and I had a great ride up from Danville last year...
I think that I am going to ride up on Wednesday (or earlier...) so that I can get things like the signs up and the back gate to the field open before folks start to arrive...
To add just a little more light reading FYI on the tools themselves (since the rack has been well covered by the other posts...):
Pioneer Tool Rack and Tools
Since the question has been answered... I'm just going to say that I'm also in Raleigh with both M37's and M809 series trucks in the yard... :) In case you want to take a gander at them... :)
I'm amphilbilous...so I can use both hands... :)
I'm at Graves as I type this (on the office computer while my fried rainbow trout dinner digests...), so whenever you get here, I'm here... It's hot enough that we may not do much heavy cutting, just trimming and GPS'ing...
Nope,
To get a NC title you will need:
His SC title reasigned to you.
Proof of insurance. (Form MVR615)
Title application. Form MVR1)
Damage disclosure (he has to sign this, so make sure you take it with you when you go to get the title from him...). (Form MVR181)
The forms are located at...
To add a little to Mike's excellent reply...
Graves Mountain Lodge is a family owned resort located on a roughly 2000 acre farm that backs up to the Shenandoah National Park. The folks have been hosting folks for 135 years or so...
For more info on the Lodge, look at:

Got the registration yesterday...
Good to see that I am not the only one who is still up in the air on what I am driving to the event... :)
I'm planning on the XM813, M274A5, and if all goes well the XM708...
I have one M101A1 that was converted to a generator/light trailer. It had the gerry can mounts on the fenders, a hole in the bed for the fuel line, and a M37 style gas tank mounted under the bed. It also had racks mounted for the light poles...
Most of my cargo M101/M101A1's have been lacking...
If you read down on my page with the parts numbers and the process description, you'll see that the H6024 conversion kit at Susquehanna has Two lamps, Two dust boots and two H4 bulbs of your choice. This is the easiest way to order what you need (you have to add the plug, but otherwise, it's...
We have a local commercial company that pumps out the porta potties every day...
If you bring extra drinks, I'm sure that "somebody" will help you consume them...
Seriously, Mike has covered just about everything in his reply. Only thing that I'd point out is that the closest gas is in...
Hated to get the news about Granny... I'm really glad that I got to take that ride during the Uwharrie gathering. She will be missed.
However, it's really good to hear that you will be up at Graves even without her... If you need to, you can hitch a ride in the XM708 with me...
Meanwhile...
Maybe its just me, but when I hitch one of my M101 series trailers to something, it seems like I am always reaching down between the a-frame arms to grab the front leg when I swing it up to lock it into position.
Seems like your mount would interfere with this.
Great looking flyer Maddawg... Just remember folks, that the BBQ supper on Saturday night is included in the registration (as is use of the Jr. Olympic Pool for the entire weekend)...
Powerhouseduece: Since I'm driving up in the 944S2, I'll arrange for us to borrow some of the on-site...
I will miss chatting with Charles... He and I used to converse a lot on the G741.org website when he first got a M37, even more so when I sold him a takeout engine for it, and then we both migrated over here and continued the conversation without a pause...
I will never forget the conversation...
Mine have always been glass...heavy glass...
I have broken them when they experienced rapid deceleration after contacting a deer on the highway at speed (not in a MV...)... I have had one burner die when crossing a railroad track in the XM813.
I think that I might have burned out two or three...
Even with gas at a buck a gallon, he was still seriously talking about having me install a Cummins 4BT in it... But he never did.
Sadly, he sold it a year or two later when he had to move out west for his job. I had no place to put it at the time or I would have added it to my collection...
It does if you are using the current solid state flasher unit (same as what is in a M35, etc.), the switch used with the earlier "bread box" flasher unit was different (looks like a Signal Stat unit).
I'm pretty sure that they are the same functionally, but the older unit had a different...
