You know, I have that exact same brand and size screwdriver in the toolbox... Never used it on a tire though... :) Inherited it from Grandpa (along with a high percentage of my tools...). :)
I used to use my duckbill hammer, but ever since Scrounger showed me the bit with wedges, I've been...
Yes, that is my '53 USMC M37 with the Cummins 4BT, ZF S5-42, 4.89's, lockers, four wheel discs (only front wheel when these photos where taken)... For the rest of the story (and a bunch of photos and a recap of the 2005 East Coast Convoy) see the page on my website at...
RE: Re: RE: April trailrides in North Carolina (Uwharrie OHV
Guys, I should have a webpage up tonight with registration information (forms) and hotel info (left that list that Charles sent me at home this morning...).
What I'm currently thinking:
Southern Power Wagon/NCMVPA Rally
Uwharrie...
RE: Inspection/Start List for Picking up a "New" 5
What sort of five ton??? Different things to look for depending on what engine/chasis/body...
One thing I can thing of off the top of my head (it's been a while since I looked at the duece pickup sticky) is that you want to check the power...
It's splitting hairs, but the tire on a duece is actually a "lock ring" according to the info that I have in a Tire and Rim Association yearbook... If your shopping for a tire shop that will work on two piece wheel assemblies, it's much better if you say that you have lock rings... :)
The...
I'd have to go outside and look at the kit mounted to my M35A2C to see how high the lights should be. There are actually a couple of standard pin locations for adjusting the altitude of the lights, one position for non-use "storage", another for when in use on a 2.5 ton truck and one for when...
Do a search as gear/transmission oil has been covered in great detail before, but: if you use a GL5 make sure that it is also rated MT-1. Or, use a GL1 which is what it was originally specified to use...
Pretty tanker Bruce...
I've got a place nearby for Brandon to work upon it (the familly farm), and a guy who can haul it there for him... I also told him that if he didn't get it, I would...
I forgot to tell Brandon yesterday that I have a spare top/bow/troopseat set for it... :)
Bruce,
I was parked in the next row over and spent the entire weekend drooling over it... Of course I took a few. :) I just wish that I had taken more...
Current plans are to drive my M817 up to Aberdeen this year, with the top and troop seats in place. If you bring your M929, we...
Not a M51, but I did take a few photos of Bruce's 900 series tipper with the fitted cover back when he had it at Aberdeen (2004). One of these days I'll take photos of the fitted cover mounted on my M817 (most likely when I put it on for the 2008 East Coast Convoy...).
Anyway, a teaser photo...
I've purchased a bunch of tires from Berg. Always got a great price and really nice (new) tires. Of course, it helps that Berg is only a 45 minute drive from the house and that they pull the tires from stock when I get there... I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.
My source of Gillespie paint is RAPCO in Texas. Mark puts cases of paint on pallets and ships to me by truck freight. Total shipping cost by truck to my office is less than the UPS Hazmat charges would be... I'll be placing an order soon in case anyone wants to go in on a group purchase...
Great looking truck, and photos.

Re: RE: Re: RE: What are these things?
I actually used to own a car that required blinker fluid... It was a '51 Mercedes 170S that had semaphore turn signals located between the front and rear doors that flipped up and lit up when you wanted to signal a turn and then dropped back down into a...
PM Sent... Would like to add spaces U4/T8 (the ones right next to me) to what I have... I've got a couple more trucks and stuff to sell (and food to cook) and need some extra space...
Thanks.
RE: Wreckerman
Great score. I really love mine (MKT85).
The three jerry can holders are to hold the cans for the fuel to run the burners inside. Old style used gas, upgraded units have MBU's (burn JP8).
Incidently, the only thing missing from mine was the MBU100's, so I am in the...
