Geez Frank...
The image of me in a speedo has ME gagging... I don't own one, and if I did, I wouldn't post a photo of me wearing it here since folks would never recover...
To help everyone recover from that mental image, here are a couple shots of some nice suits on ladies in my M38 (not...
My experience:
DOT5 isn't always purple... Even the purple versions (most all is) tends to loose its color when in the system... It all turns sorta straw colored over time.
I fill it up to the plug, add some when the level drops down about 1/2-3/4 inch below... I'd rather leak some lube going down the road then sieze up the trany on a trip...
Guys,
Got a M35A2C that has an inop tachometer. Tacho head and cable are fine (at least, when I disconect from the right angle drive at the front of the engine and spin the cable with my drill, the tachometer works...
So, Asside from just swapping out the right angle drive (anything to worry...
Guys,
I've done it again... Going down the road on Saturday, right at 50mph, and the speedo dies... Got home, went under the truck and found out that the guts of the right angle adapter at the t-case are missing.... This happened before (about three thousand miles ago) and I replaced the...
I thought that I would do a "cut and paste" from two posts on the www.g741.org forum since folks keep asking this question over there...
One from one of the other guys who tends to write thoughtful, well researched posts:
First of all, it's important to understand the chemical nature of brake...
Re: RE: New Guy trying to get some Info?
I too rant about the CDL thing...
FWIW: North Carolina also offers NON COMMERCIAL licenses that parallel all the COMMERCIAL classes. Since the testing is the same, as are the fees, I usually suggest to folks that they go ahead and get the Commercial...
Rick Larsen at http://www.milstencil.com has the Seabee logo listed on his "paintmask" page. I think that he also has it in oilboard stencil as well if you ask (not listed on the website that I could see). His product can be scaled if you don't like his stock size...
Good luck.
We have been using US301 up through AP Hill to the Harry Nice Bridge accross the Potomac to MD3. Haven't had problems keeping folks together, but the route has been growing stoplights north of the Bridge...
Running up I95 through DC adds quite a bit of congestion to deal with...
I'm not...
I think that Kenny and I were thinking that the back road route was still better than trying to keep everybody together through the construction/traffic in the DC area even though we have a lot more stoplights to contend with each year when we get into MD on US301...
So, right now, same route...
RE: loops
They are for securing the insulated blanket used over the hood as part of the artic heater (engine) kit. The manual for the heater instal kit is on my website. Photos of trucks fitted with it serving on the DEW line are on my website although the gentleman who sent me the photos...
We run up from Doswell to Millersville (Transit Truck stop on Veterans' Highway), then up to Baltimore (run through the Harbor Tunnel), then up to Aberdeen.
Times for these stops are:
Arrive Millersvill at 11:30AM
Arrive at the Harbor Tunnel tolls (south side of the tunnel) at 12:45
Arrive in...
Mike is working on it. Just did the IM thing with him. He is out west and is working on his laptop instead of his really nice "work" machine. But it is getting close...
We will meet at the All American Plaza (Texaco) at 8:00AM and will depart at 8:30.
Truck stop is on Route 30 just off I95 next to the Best Western, phone number is: 804-798-8008
Bassically, those of us who have spent the night roll out, eat at Denny's, cross the street to the truckstop, grab...
I just got off the phone with Rick Larsen concerning Convoy Signs. He has serveral sets in stock and says that he can get East Coast Convoy participants a better price than what he normally retails them for. They are still a tad pricey since the are made using really reflective material, but...
Great timing on this thread... I have a buddy who is having the same problem with a pump (takeoff) that was recently installed in a 530C (duece firetruck).
