I have two M998's, one has a one inch hole in the drivers and passenger side floor and the other has two holes in each floor. They might not be from a 5.56 round, but they are most certainly 22 caliber.
I used a hitch for a Ford F250/350. Had to cut 2 inches(I think) out and re weld. It is several inches below the military hitch and pulls most trailers level.

I have a m43 in which we just installed a small block 350, not a drop in,but not a difficult job. The difference is unbelievable. Unless I was doing a restoration that required replacing the original motor, I would use a more modern power plant.
Going to get two on Thursday with a roll back, so will have to tow one, two wheels not flat tow. What is needed to pull the drive shafts? Is it metric, star,or what. Want to make sure we have the right tools.
I had 51 miles on the clock when we arrived home. There should be multiple Iron Butt awards for people traveling over 100 miles. Great rally, I am very lucky to live one hour away. Time to start getting ready for the next rally.
