    M37 soft top parts alignment

Thanks, I actually found it in the TM 9-2320-212-20, page 2-169. I couldn't find it in the other manuals but this one gives a good description of the windshield adjustment and the rear top adjustment. Or as good as a military manual gets anyway.

Proper grounding for generator as a component of off grid solar / house system.

Interesting, I am going to have to go back over the threads covering this in the past but I am pretty sure you are going against what they are saying about grounding the generator. You are definitely going against what the manual says to do. And if I am interpreting what Guy said you are going...

Proper grounding for generator as a component of off grid solar / house system.

Ok, So Guy, You are saying to ground the genset only and hook up the three wires to the house but do not bond the house ground to the genset? This way when the genset is running but not connected to the house it is safe but when it is hooked to the house the neutral is the floating ground? That...

    Mep-002a fuel shutoff solenoid/manual shutdown?

Burning ATF in the fuel is not a good idea, this in NOT a multifuel engine. If you want pump lubrication then use two stroke oil which is designed to be burned. Better yet use Power Service Lubrication and Cetane additive. ATF is designed NOT to burn and will leave a lot of carbon on the...

Proper grounding for generator as a component of off grid solar / house system.

So you are saying do not bond everything above ground and ground o earth at one point but instead ground at the house AND the generator and create a ground loop? I know there are a million threads pertaining to this but how many of those threads are referencing the bad codes? Not one of the 7...

Proper grounding for generator as a component of off grid solar / house system.

Interesting video. I know on my generator I have it wired into my panel through a safety interlock and I have it wired with four wires. The two hots, neutral and ground. The ground is tied into the house ground so that is bonding the generator to the house wiring and ground, all above ground as...

    M37 soft top parts alignment

On my recently acquired M37 it has a soft top on it but in trying to get things lined up I can see that the entire top is apparently leaning backwards. My window gaps are tight at the top in the front and larger at the back and opposite at the bottoms. Windows are in the doors straight. Doors...

How do you move your generator(s)?

They are great if you don't have a 65 year old tractor with frozen pins! You young'uns are to used to quick change implements.

How do you move your generator(s)?

Just be aware that bucket lip pallet forks WILL bend your bucket!! And once bent it will never grade properly again. The best bucket forks are like the ones I had on one of my backhoes that actually attached to hooks welded on top of the bucket in four spots across the top and that swung on...

    M37 transmission, early vs late

I went out and moved a bunch of spare parts out of the way that were stored in the vehicle and looked at the shifter that is in the vehicle and even though it is a 53 it has the later two pin shifter. I am limited in what I can do in this part of the season, my garage is not big enough to be...

    M37 transmission, early vs late

I have a 53 M37 with the usual shifter issue of the shifter traveling all the way over to the passenger side to get into third gear. I am assuming (yea, I know about the word assume) that I have the early style trans with the one pin shifter support. This truck came with a transmission top cover...

Mep 002/003 glow plug part number search

I just got my Wellman's in yesterday, I am sure I paid substantially more than you did for the Champions. I hope you got the right ones!

Mep 002/003 glow plug part number search

I just looked all through the interweb and I only found a pack of ten Champion CH42's in Europe. None at all here in the states. Are you sure you got the right ones? As Ray said the CH42 are correct but the CH41 are 12 volt.

Mep 002/003 glow plug part number search

My current solution to starting on really cold days is to just use a propane torch and direct the heat from the torch not into but in front of the air cleaner so the heat is drawn in while cranking. This has always worked well for me. Tedious yes, more cranking than usual yes, but it works. It...

Mep 002/003 glow plug part number search

Well, I looked up the Wellman's on Epay and snagged two of them. I could not get a definite answer on the Champions being a direct match so I jumped on these. Said there were ten left and 6 people put them in their wishlists. If I have learned one thing over the last few years it is to grab it...

I understand, BUT, are they the right ones for the 002-003?

Mep 002/003 glow plug part number search

I just did a whole bunch of searching and came up empty other than to find out those Champions are discontinued. If the only difference was the thread then I would re-tap the head. But if they are also going to disappear there is no sense in doing that.

Mep 002/003 glow plug part number search

Guy, I am also interested in this thread since I need at least two and maybe 4 of these glow plugs. But I don't understand your post? Is it a far sale post or just a general info post in case you find them? And what about the Champion 182 CH 42? Are they viable or not?
