I’ve welded in a couple elbows to fix one. I welded a couple pieces of scrap from the inlet end to the stack to keep everything in place while I fitted up the new elbows.
I visited Rick on Sunday, he is doing ok. He may not be making stencils for a while, but hopefully he will be back at it soon. He is definitely one of the best in the hobby.
My m62 was still in service and had a bunch of work done to it in the 90s. They just took out the steel lines and ran long hoses with a guard. This is how I’ll do my m108 if I ever get to it.

No hydraulic work needed, just have to remove the driveshaft between the PTO and hydraulic pump and the two control rods. The pump hangs down a bit so you’ll have to lift the bed higher to clear the truck frame.
