Water & Metal Chunks in my M52-A2 transmission

I wonder if they can get condensation build up inside over periods of sitting. On my deuce I had serviced the pumpkins with new oil. A year of sitting later there was water in them when I cracked the drain plugs to drain them. Subsequently I changed the vents to tubes going up to the firewall...

    Removing, rebuilding, reinstalling Hydraulic Head

Did you drive the truck after changing the line or just run it? I had the same problem and it did not leak just running. Thought I was in the clear. Took it for a drive and the leak became apparent.

    New rear harness

It was a pain to do it but worth it. I painted the tanks and everything under there inside that frame section.

    New rear harness

If I remember correctly there is a clamp behind the air tanks. I had the tanks out over the last year. Was doing the brake line that runs there which also has inaccessible clamps on it.

M35a2 from South El Monte Ca to Yuma AZ

I think TOPO was describing a bush fix method to get a hot bearing truck home. But obviously you are right in your statement above.

@Lukes_deuce told me a great story about removing his run flats.

    Multifuel fuel filters

Pretty sure the filter bodies etc. for primary and secondary are standard items. Engine manufacturer should not play a role in this.

    Multifuel fuel filters

If possible post back on your findings. I did not have any issues but I would like to know the outcome you have.

    Multifuel fuel filters

When I did mine they came with the gaskets in the box with the filter. Check at the store if you get them in person.

Hubs were locked all this time........

In my experience with regular pickup trucks you can drive around hubs locked and it just increases wear on the rotating parts of the drivetrain but no damage. It reduces fuel mileage of course. I don't think you should be worried. In some ways I feel it might be good for the front driveshaft to...

Rear Hub Service and How much Grease to use.

I do not see how the grease will get into the bearings just by being in the hubs. I packed the bearings well and left grease smeared liberally all over the inside of the hubs to help protect from corrosion. Greased up the seals nicely, corked up the slot and down the road we go.

    M35A2 C-Turbo

What did someone call them recently on here? Wuhan War Whistles? Looks import to me. The real Whistler should scream loud right from start up and at idle from what I have read. If you have mufflers in your exhaust it might quiet it some. When I was looking around they were not cheap to buy new.

    Uses for Deuces

Picked up 7 yards of mulch last weekend at the quarry. It's enough weight to make the truck work a bit. Interesting part was following an empty on-highway dump truck into the yard. 10 mph and 10 tires on the ground the dumper was throwing out clouds of dust. Same speed and same number of NDTT...

    Brakes not releasing

Late to the party but I recall there being a small hole in the bottom of the master that the return fluid comes back into? I have read around here that this hole can become blocked and prevent the release. No one else mentioned that in this thread. Someone more in the know might see this post...

Which military truck is the most capable? Good survival vehicle?

I have heard some "Flat Spots" maybe on RR equipment. How far you figure you can get on a tank of water? That is one beautiful setup right there. Wow.
