    On the FD we had air hooked to the truck with an auto disconnect. As soon as you hit the starter the hose would shoot off. Like this one. http://www.kussmaul.com/091-28.html If you add two or three tanks it will take 2-3 times longer to fill.

    Another thought is that as these pumps wear out they make less air. I rebuild might be all you need.

    I'd love to get a tanker. But I'd also like to get one of each deuce i.e. tanker , wrecker , dump , pole setter and so on. I've already got a cargo , drop side , shop van , long bed and fire truck.

    A -20 is unit maintenance , but a -24 is unit thought depot. A -12 is operator thought unit and a -14 would be operator thought depot.

    I just got the hi torque 3/4" impact , WOW! Glade to see all is going good so far. I see I mist out on the transmission rebuild class. One of this years I will make it.

    M818 heater help needed

    Most trucks did not have a heater at all. That one looks more like the one for the arctic kit , not the everyday heater like is show in the above diagrams. It mounts under the glove box on the deuce not 100% on the 5 ton but would guess the same place.

    Water and foam. The big tube is for foam and to the side of it (hard too see in the pic's) is a water nozzle.
