On the FD we had air hooked to the truck with an auto disconnect. As soon as you hit the starter the hose would shoot off.

If you add two or three tanks it will take 2-3 times longer to fill.
I'd love to get a tanker. But I'd also like to get one of each deuce i.e. tanker , wrecker , dump , pole setter and so on.
I've already got a cargo , drop side , shop van , long bed and fire truck.
Check ebay , one of the vendors use to have them I can't think of the name thought. They did sell off a lot of there stuff a few years back I remember.

Most trucks did not have a heater at all. That one looks more like the one for the arctic kit , not the everyday heater like is show in the above diagrams. It mounts under the glove box on the deuce not 100% on the 5 ton but would guess the same place.
