Awesomeness, to your comment a few posts ago about cost as one reason to avoid nylon, I have been getting successful prints now for weeks using KAKO string trimmer line from Amazon, $15/Kg (strictly speaking it's $29.99 for a 5lb spool). It is true that my printer was a self-gift, and is more...
Anyone tried nylon for these parts? I'm printing plenty of functional parts with nylon now. It can be tricky, but I figured out its quirks on my printer (CreatBot F430, out of reach for some I admit) and can print almost anything now.

Check if it is a centerline, rear mounted turbo, or more typical side-mounted forward. Conventional side-mounted turbos will not fit in the HMMWV narrow engine bay. Sorry to rain on your parade, but I am not aware of a common rear mounted turbo civilian diesel truck.

Try the Hummer Knowledge Base for aftermarket cross-references. As far as Half Shafts, many have had good experience with those from Advance Auto / Autozone. They are the 10K versions with ABS sensor ring, which is not needed typically and some remove it.

I had trouble finding a garage to take it on too, until someone noted Jeff of Tactical Truck isn't very far from me. The civilian garages I called were scared of anything not like for like, stock replacements. They also didn't want to fuss with military wiring (Packard connectors, etc.) and...
I had an aluminum Champion installed recently, purchase through Summit or Jegs, I can't recall immediately. Holding up fine so far. +1 Predator is no good.

Good point Ajax. Yes, we should be doing most of the work, since that's the kind of vehicle it is (non-standard, no dealer support). I figured he was looking for someone to help on BIG stuff, like I did in seeking a professional to do a powertrain swap.
Every day wrenching, no problem!

I replaced the foam inside some of mine, as TOBASH recommends. It's not too hard to open a seam on the underside of the cushion and replace the foam, then stitch it back closed.

Jeff Symansky at Commercial Tool and Die in Marshall VA does good work and is very familiar with MVs. If that's not too far for you. He did my turbo drivetrain swap. He has a yard full of 5-tons and Deuces, a HMMWV, and many Jeeps offsite. I watched him restore an antique military Jeep while...
Congratulations on the 4-speed TOBASH and commiserations on the oil cooler. I look forward to your usual excellent documentation on the heater core R/R. Mine needs to be replaced and our rigs are similar vintage.

For those considering Centramatics, I decided to make the plunge today and did some price searching. Found the next best price (by $1) on HitchSource.com, and they offer a price match, so I asked them about it and instead of the $1.10 difference (delta plus 10%) they gave me a 5% off code...
PayPal left me high and dry with a purchase from a suspect site earlier this year. Was only $30 thankfully. In this case I got a USPS tracking number ishortly after placing the order, and tracking that number showed it was deliverd the day BEFORE I placed the order. PP did not care one whit.
