That K5 Blazer has M1009 wheels, trim rings and dog dish hubcaps. I still have a set of the trim rings and the dog dish 4WD Chevrolet hubcaps from a K10 pick up.
Look in the valley of the engine under the intake manifold. Does it appear wet after attempting to start it or after setting a while after being started. That could be the throttle shaft screws, a loose clamp or a cracked rubber hose in the fuel system. I even encountered worn thru steel fuel...
As I am feeling that I left down a few friends on my M1009 project. I need to reflect once again that this is a hobby, and I must have the desire and drive to complete the project. I must also prioritize things that need done on my journey thru life. Looking at the build date I am going to set a...
I have a frame and brand-new axles if you would like to start from the foundation up. M1009 frame and you can put any body on you like. I am fresh out of GM pickup cabs and K5 Blazer tubs.
I guess at this point anything is possible. Did you replace any of the clutch discs? I worked on vehicles all my life and auto transmissions were always considered a specialty. In the GM dealership I worked in we all specialized in certain areas. Transmissions was always 2 guys area of...
Check out the chart. You have a battery that is 40%. Also bypassing the glow plugs to the 12-volt power point on the firewall will put all the load on the front battery every time you engage the glow plugs. Keep that in mind. Everyone always refers people to the TM's and then advises to hack the...
During my search for Honda parts and a radiator I wanted to show you just for comparison. The huge radiator is a CUCV radiator I have as a spare. And the little one is a Honda 4514 tractor radiator. The radiator I purchased from Ebay fit and looks great. It was a buy it now for $199. or best...
At this time, I would not speculate. I would take it to a competent transmission shop and have it diagnosed. Was the transmission rebuilt by a skilled knowledgeable person? I hope you didn't buy a used transmission that was missing a torque converter and install it. Burnt clutch material causes...
General Motors has all the camera angles covered with the new GM truck. I don't have a trailer camera, but the side views work great. Nice for backing and checking the hitch and safety chains. Like anything it could be future problems but for now and the past 3 + years it works great.

Having the correct parts will make the mirrors more secure and add substantial support. These brackets came stock on all CUCV's and GM trucks back in the day that had the folding mirrors. And don't bad mouth the Trail Boss...
You said he gave you a box of parts. And there was a starter in the parts, May I recommend before you install the starter to have it checked out and make sure it is up to par. Hate to see you waste the time on a questionable starter. These parts I always have looked at professionally before just...
Sad to say. I tried them all and nothing fits like the OEM dash pad. But it looks better than most I see. I was just looking at mine yesterday and wondering if I should clean it and Armor All it. I have it sitting flat in the upper barn, and it is dusty. I gave $650. for it. OEM grey replacement.
How about the modulator? is it getting vacuum? And is the hose tight going into the modulator? And being that you had the transmission out are you sure the metal line that runs down is not cracked or kinked. Check that also. I always take my CUCV's to a friend to get the vacuum modulator...
Check the VCV on the injection pump. Make sure the valve is getting suction/vacuum. The top hose to transmission the bottom hose to back of engine vacuum pump. It will suck your fingertip fast if it is making vacuum.
Well yesterday was not a lost day. I made leaps and bounds in my barn. Well maybe not that big a deal but success. I have another Honda tractor to repair. It is my son's. It needs a PTO clutch and a radiator, and the radiator is discontinued. I found a few places that would make me one and the...
