Hello Guyfang,
I didn't respond right away because I wanted to see if the speed pickup was the issue. It wasn't. The story. Nice clean 804b. Had for 18 months. From GP. Has always started and run fine. When I got it the fuel intake pipe in tank was bent upwards so required a fullish tank...
I have an NOS (no box) old style HMMWV brush guard, w/ pins, brackets, no bag of bolts that it came with but there's nothing special in there, just bolts. I can bring down to Aberdeen if someone wants it - $250. I'll be there friday 11-2 or so. PM me if interested.
Thanks.
Put 12v bulbs in trailer. Use a 12v regulator on each circuit. Something like a 7805 in a to-220 package. Get a little drop but you're really at 13-14 v so will get 12 out. Put in 28v get 12 out. Just need regulators that can handle the 12v drop from the hmmwv at the amperage the bulbs...
Trailfinder,
Hope you solved your contamination problem. My shutterstat is bad also. Do you remember the PN? Did you get it from Cat?
Thanks in advance.
Erich
If anyone is interested, I will bring some NOS Original style (angle iron type) HMMWV Brush Guards down. Brackets, bolts, instructions etc. included. $240 each. Will be there Saturday. PM if interested.

Been a long time since I asked this and solved it but I figured someone else might come across it. Turns out whoever "worked" on my HMWV previously used the rear type hangers on the front diff. Also, the brake yoke was the wrong one. As was pointed out, the left front yoke drops the caliper a...
if you want to check out sender, below are the resistance readings (terminal to gnd) for sender. Just measure with the wire disconnected with an ohmmeter.
Temp 120 -2507 ohms
180 -1126 ohms
240 -562 0hms
At least you can rule that out. If good-see above. It's a...
One more quick tip for installing. Get two long (~2-1/2") bolts with the (3/8"-xx I think?) thread. Cut off heads to make studs. Use them as sliders to guide transmision onto block. The guide pins on block are short. Remove and replace when done.
Thanks for the info.
Yes the 4 nuts on top are soft. Will replace. And yes-red thread locker. Left yoke about 1/4" lower. Is this right? Or is it the wrong one and just 1/4" off? I'm guessing rear side brackets were used on the front. It's just too high. Actually hits cross member in...
I'm currently working on an '86 HMMWV. Getting to the front brakes and I realize there's something wrong with front diff mounts/geometry. Body is off, it's all there to see and I'm not quite sure what's up.
With the side hangars bolted tight to the front to back braces it sits too high in...
John,
I have a NOS master cylinder for the M35A3. PM me if you want it. But first check to see that there is play in the pedal and that the piston rod can return far enough to expose the hole in the master cylinder bore to allow fluid back into the reservoir. The reason I have the NOS...
I had exactly the same thing happen with my A3 a week ago. They were '06 6TLs. Never a previous issue. Battery voltage looks good. Takes charge etc. Try and start it and all gauges shut down. Turns out it was a bad cell in one of the batteries. All was great previously as far as starting etc...
Looking persons or trucking companies to haul M816 wrecker from Ft. Meade to Pelham MA 01002 (approx 400 mi) EUC at Battle Creek. Time to clear has been quick so looking for something in a few weeks to a month. I've got B&B from a previous thread. Any others that people have worked with...
I was there a while ago so things might have changed. Chris Swaney was in charge of the region 602 284 8868. I think he's in NH. He gave me Devens contact # 978 796 3143. Forgot who I got but he was very friendly and helpful. There is still security in the middle but most of the base is...
It's for an A3. Maybe others too but it fits the A3. Have a NOS one right in front of me that I purchased for a recovery. Same numbers and all. Hey, I'll give you twice what you paid. Seriously-they are big bucks. Take a look.
Does anyone have any experience adding 4 way flashers to an M35? The directional unit now is silent, (no relay can) so I assume it's electronic. I don't have the number of the directional unit with me. Is there a turn signal unit w/ flashers that's available?
Thanks
