    M200 converter dolly

It has the A3 style trailer wheels, radial 11r22.5. Not sure if a set of 11.00x20 NDTs would be taller. I can see though.

Official 2020 Georgia Military Vehicle Rally (20GMVR) information thread

You don't say? 🤔 I'll bring my tools and we'll get her going. :jumpin: 6hr deuce ride from my place. Loved the 3hr ride to D town before. But I've also done the 14hr ride to Haspin several times, so it doesn't bother me.

    M200 converter dolly

Yours is better, I should have put the 5th wheel a little higher. Under the loaded trailer, it sits a little low. I built mine more for moving empty trailers.

I could have let you borrow the one I built!

    Electric M37

Awesome idea! My commute is 27 miles, and I had found an old postal jeep near me with a blown engine for $500. I did a lot of research into building an electric vehicle out of it to go to work and back. This was back when it was a choice between heavy lead acid or unbelievably expensive...

    ID item on firewall. M51A2

That's my guess. Heavy wires going in?

    60 amp Generator/ Charging Question

Dropping voltage after warming up is almost a sure sign of pending regulator failure. I have an entire pile of alternators, most just needing bearings, some regulators. Maybe one day I will start rebuilding them all, especially with how expensive they seem to be getting.

    Howdy from South Carolina

Welcome Sean! I'm in SC as well! MVCSC is very active club with lots of help, equipment, and we do lots of parades and events. Right near the Blue Cross Blue Shield building in Columbia. We have meetings every Wednesday night.

    The New Blue Caboose.

Considering the last cabooses rolled off the assembly lines in the mid 70s, I'm not surprised they are building new ones since the originals are wearing out. Plus there is s lot more room in that on!

G177 Tires on a M35A2, How do you like them?

Yes, this was the set I got from you all those years ago! The wife and I broke them down off the 5 ton rims and mounted them to the deuce rims. We lived in an apartment complex at the time. They weren't happy lol.

G177 Tires on a M35A2, How do you like them?

Love love love love love love love them!!! Wear like iron and ride so much nicer. I got lucky and didn't have to change my caster angle at all. Keep the fronts rotated out and going on 12 years they are still great. Put about 10k on them. All my trucks have them now, trailers will get rotated...

Ship by rail/train? (AZ to FL)

I've assisted Fort Eustis with loading quite a few long trains of equipment, thinking maybe they won't miss one truck... lol. Yes most all military shipments roll constantly, only stopping for traffic, crew changes, and fuel.

Ship by rail/train? (AZ to FL)

Railing a one time move can get pricey.... Biggest issue is the cars they would use, are wide open. Vandalism would be a sure thing when it sits in the back corner of a railyard at night. I've often thought of adding an old auto carrier to my 'collection' to make moves like this. The costs...

    Deuce Brakes

This is exactly what happened with my m818, I had replaced the MC and the rod was just a tad too long... kept having to stop and open a bleed screw. Thought I got trash in the MC or air pack. Adjusted rod and was smooth sailing.

Consequences of Failed Interlock – When the Grid Feeds Your (out-of-sync) Generator

Reminds me of the time I accidentally used the parallel two ships generators together procedure, to bring us off the pier and onto ships power to get underway. For a split second our 2,000kw gas turbine generator tried to match power output with the Norfolk city power grid... if I hadn't had my...
