Not alot of prep-- as long as you are painting onto a non-shiny surface the paint will stick well. We knock the chips off, mask and spray. We call it a "quick n dirty"
definitely could be done with alot more work and material. But I have found that this system works best bang for the buck...
I have some 95% (and better) tread Mich XL, and Goodyear G177 11.00-20s in stock. Some are already on wheels, too.

We Super Clean and pressure wash everything, then scrap off the big flakes, hit any rusty spots with Rustoleum, mask off the windows and lights, and SHOOT IT!!! We call our paint jobs "quick n dirty" (which they are), but it really cleans...

The race is actually on Friday the 11th--- with qualifying and UTV race on Wed and Thurs.
