I’m not sure how the wiring job did what it was supposed to do. It’s a spaghetti mess! Think I’m going to call uncle and just replace the whole harness. Fortunately, thank you again hendersonj, for those harnesses! Now to make it all work again...

You are describing a problem I had with my 1009. I troubleshot the fuel system components one time at a time. Everything was fine until I found that the original filter was a pos. I removed it and replaced it with a round, screw in type filter and mount. I haven’t had a problem since then.
I received a 180,00 to 220,000 btu “cannon” heater for Christmas. It goes through a 5 gallon container of diesel about every other day. It’ll burn diesel, kerosene, and some other types. It was a bit expensive but it keeps my 2,400 sf barn warm. I too hate working in the cold.

She’s a might bit cold blooded. So far I can keep her running with judicious use of the gas pedal. Lights work, horns sort of work and the turn signal works although I’ll have to replace the little bitty bulb on the arm.
Found out what’s under the panel. The mechanism for the emergency brake.
Update: the panel was installed on M-37’s up to 1952. They were removed after that. That means the truck is much older than the title indicates. Hmm, I wonder if I can get it changed?

I went to the local O’Reilly parts store. Not my first choice but NAPA is closed Sundays. After much research by the store manager, we figured out the two alternator belts. Installed after much trial and tribulation. I’ll see if she’ll start tomorrow.
