Alt needs 24v to start its field. Supman is the expert on alts. First thing he always suggest is to jump over 24v from the fuel solinoide to the 24v tap on the voltage regulator.
The awd will not work without the front drive line, without speed restrictions. Without the front diff in also the axle shafts will bounce around and damage a lot of stuff without the carrier to hold them in position.
Yes. I had 2 bad batteries truck wouldn’t start. I rigged it up to run on 2 batteries. Truck started no problem, and didn’t need to charge the batteries first.
I have these and they are a budd bolt pattern and nut centered. Not hub centered like an mrap. I plan on machining a special nut to convert the ctis to work once I get my lathe set up. You could use thes rims with the aluminum rim nuts with no ctis, but the one hole should have a bushing...
Guess I should diagnose my new found vibration at medium speed. I think it’s from a tire, but while I’m at it I may as well test both drive shafts, check the alt, check the fan clutch while I mount the a/c drive pully. Glad you made it to the game in the next few weeks if you need any bushings...

Steve 6x6x6. Is the creator of this method. I asked him all the questions you all ask now, my turn to help. FYI the way mine is cut it needs shorter bolts as well.
You can band saw cut the cover, plasma the cover, what you need is a way to hold the spider in and check the gear lash. If I had my lathe set up I’d cut a cover for you, but I’m a few weeks from making that happen. I had a friend bandsaw mine and he was kind enough to face it in a lathe...
I have one of suprmans 200 amp kits installed. Yes new brackets, different L bracket, new wires and new protection block. Was a bit of a pain to figure it all out. Afterwards it turned out my bad 100 amp was only due to the maintenance people swapping the pos and neg leads. My guess was to...
Hub tool. Procedure is to install everything and torque this ring down, then feel for backlash on the small hub gears. Ideal is with your fingers just feel ever so slightly the smallest amount of movement. Tight gears are bad, loose gears are bad. Getting the perfect shim pack is the...
