    My M813 gets a turbo!

Just be aware, you will most likely need to add some sort of flex between the hard engine mounted parts and the chassis/fender mounted stuff. It will break at some point in time just due to the acceleration twist. Your work is beautiful!

    Newbie in over their head

Very nice truck! I will move this to the LMTV section so that it is visable to others that might have the same issues. I know a guy that had a dump truck. It was an air droppable one. When he got it, the cab was bent causing the doors to not close right, probably because it was air dropped and...

When you/we, find out what it is, this can be moved to a better place, for more better exposure, so you can try and get your issue fixed. More info man!

You can trim up to an inch off of the rubber elbows to gain clearance if needed. I had to do that many times when putting new engines in old machines. Mark them, use silicone spray to lube the cut and a new razor knife. The cuts will look factory.

    2021 SoCal Spring Rally

Jim, how ya doing! I talk to John every once in a bit. Still at the Choo Choo yards? I am supposed to get with JDT and give him a German clock. Funny small world thing, I met with Mike Getchner from Iowa about a shaper and he knows/hangs out with JDT ! I gotta call you!

    2021 SoCal Spring Rally

IIRC, Crown Royal! The aircraft dropped a banner, which I still have, CDB, Camp Dirt Bag, a newspaper with the headlines, "Gaddafi is Dead", it was the morning of the NTC job, a few large bottles of liquor and a BUNCH of small bottles on parachutes. Kinda never found out where all the smallies...

    M925a2 running warm

One more thing to check. If it is puking coolant from the cap, check the cap. If the cap will not hold the pressure stamped on the cap, it will overheat. A 10 PSI cap will raise the air to boil point to about 225. If the cap is failed, the coolant will boil around 212 + or - depending on...

Maybe in the market for a nhc250

As long as the block isn't beat up at the lower receiver and the cam is good, you can one or two hole it. But, it has been a bit, but I do not remember if you can mix 3 and 4 ring pistons. New stuff, from Cummins, will be 3 ring type. There might be aftermarket parts made that are 4 ring. Edit...

Maybe in the market for a nhc250

There are enough take outs around. Look up the belly and see if the cam is damaged. If you can see the lower liner receiver, look to see it is not all beat up. If both of those are serviceable, pull the head and see what happened. Liners don't just break, something happened. Possible over heat...

    M925a2 running warm

IR temp gauges SOMETIMES are correct. Install a known good gauge and see what it says. Also, check the outside of the radiator core. Bugs, mud, fins de bonded from the tubes will cause slow steady heating issues. Is there a stat in it? No thermostat will cause overheating. Diesel systems have 2...

    My M813 gets a turbo!

STP works wonders when assembling the fittings. You can use regular push on hose too. The only pressure there is what the radiator cap pressure is, 10 psi or so

    My M813 gets a turbo!

Both of you guys have done an amazing job! You might want to think about putting some flex between the hard engine mounted components and the body/cab mounts. 12 inches is the minimum needed. If no flex is used, things like to crack, usually flange of the pipe to turbo, but the muffler and...

    guij

It is actually a fertilizer. In tech classes, when we went through the process of checking DEF injector flow, we dumped the measured fluid in the planter. It was the greenest spot in the planter bed.
