What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

In the past month I got my m1123 titled and registered, replaced all the fuel lines, replaced the injection pump, painted the intake manifold and engine valley. Today I installed a soft top. Was finally able to drive down the street and back. Still need to check the hubs and replace the gear...

    HMMWV Texas Title Info

I just titled/registered my m1123 in Texas and they seemed to ignore what was on the SF-97/data plate in regards to weight. My data plate and SF-97 listed gross weight at 10300 and curb weight as 5700. On my registration paper work they list it as 8000 and 6000.

    Fan cut-off switch rod

    Thanks! Exactly what I needed

    Fan cut-off switch rod

I'm in the process of putting everything back together after replacing my injection pump and I'm not sure how the rod from the pump to the fan cut-off switch is supposed to be connected. I can't find this piece in the TM, where is this supposed to go? Does anyone have a pic of how theirs is...

    Oil filler neck removal

I had to loosen the pulley bracket to get mine off. Didn’t have to take it all the way off, just needed a little extra clearance.

    M1123 AC Compressor Delete

That's how I'm currently set up but I wouldn't mind getting it out of the way and giving it to someone else who could use it.

    M1123 AC Compressor Delete

Yea, it looks like I need to replace that with a smooth and add a grooved pulley right above the tensioner. Just trying to figure out what the parts numbers are. The diagram that matches my truck doesn't list part numbers (first screenshot above). The pulleys look different from that in the...

    M1123 AC Compressor Delete

I'm trying to find part numbers to for a couple idler pulleys so I can remove my sanden compressor that was part of the red dot system I removed. I might just be looking in the wrong TM for parts numbers, below is what I've found. TM 9-2320-280-20-2 shows a diagram with a...

Face cam causing throttle to stick

I bought a second pump for parts for cheap off ebay. I got the intake manifold and all the fuel lines off this weekend, should be pulling the pump this week as time allows and will update this thread with results. I’m expecting to have to have mine rebuilt. Yours appears to be in worse shape...

    GovPlanet Humvee Arrival and Inspection

Your throttle issue sounds exactly like mine. The bottom of the injection pump sat in water and rusted while it sat in Georgia. Here’s my thread detailing the issue: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/face-cam-causing-throttle-to-stick.209280/ Im currently halfway through pulling my pump so...

    SF97?

I bought mine in January, picked it up April 25th and they told me they printed the SF-97 on May 17th. They said to expect 30 business days before USMC gets it back to them, then they will Fedex it to me.

    Engine valley drain hole

Based on HoveringHMMWV's pic I was able to find mine after some cleaning and scraping. It looks like there is some kind of plug in it or it was welded closed? Does anyone have a picture of where the drain tube comes out? I haven't been able to find that. Not sure it matters since mine...

    Engine valley drain hole

Is there supposed to be a drain hole here somewhere? Water collects in the valley, I've tried cleaning it off but its a hard to see area and I can't find any hole. This is a melton rebuild in an m1123:

    2 Man Soft Top Kits

Do you happen to have any 4 man kits?

Face cam causing throttle to stick

Do you recall which parts you were able to replace without removing the IP? Looks like 16-21 are the likely culprits. Did you replace the parts on the left side as well (40-43)?

Face cam causing throttle to stick

Looks like it pushes the rocker lever (#13) which is attached to something at the bottom of the pump. It looks pretty rusty down there because water collects in the valley and it has been sitting in Georgia for who knows how long with a clogged drain hole. Guessing I’m in for a new ip or a rebuild.

Face cam causing throttle to stick

I haven’t, but that seems like a logical next step. What function does the cam perform? I can’t tell what it’s sticking on from above.

Face cam causing throttle to stick

Recently picked up an m1123 and have been going through and fixing all the issues I can find while waiting on my SF-97. This one has me a bit stumped and looking for some help. I noticed when I picked it up I couldn't push the accelerator very far, barely above idle. I disconnected the...

    Technical Manual Request

Thanks! That’s good info about the ac, I was looking for this because I’m planning on removing all the ac components. If anyone needs red dot components in Texas let me know.

    Technical Manual Request

Mine has a rebuild date of 2009 and a red dot installed, maybe thats why it has the different TM for the serpentine belt?
