Glad to be able to help, my friend! It's what buddies do.
And, I still remember who loaned me his M915 to pick up a trailer in AZ some years back. [thumbzup]
It would have been nice to drag it through the Independence Day parade, or some such, show it off to the others a bit, but hey, now you...
!!!
The trailer was a custom build, rated for 44K#, he said. Hydraulic ramp (pony motor underneath the bed), electric winch high on the gooseneck. Big tiedown points along each side, bigelectric brakes.
Cheers
They leave so soon......
The hauler showed up this morning, I met him in a big enough parking lot to do the shuffling.
Still too soggy at my place to do truck/trailer dancing, we'd be up to our elbows in mud in short order, and I'd spend all summer falling into rock hard ruts.
First...
Yes, indeed. It is a tall trailer sitting on the ground. It will all come back off when it goes to Arizona, I'm just..er...testing everything now (okay, I'm playing with it!!).
Cheers
I had a burst of insanity today, and put the bows together on Agazza's 1082. They are apparently different than yours, Mark. The bows are one solid piece, and the horizontal bars all slip into short pipe sections. Two straps go from end to end and (hopefully) keep the lot from falling apart...
Here's the data tag on the trailer. It has pretty generic terms, but the NSN can be a useful search item.
Roboskid's trailer now lives on my farm, where it continues to provide sterling service. :D
Cheers
The price you get on the tag depends on what contract the trailer was bought under. The tag will be the result of the total contract price divided by the number of trailers (in this case). But one contract total can be very different from another.
As an example, with made up numbers for...
You've got the right colour paint (and a good quality one) but it is not going to exactly match old faded paint, which is what is on the trailer. The CARC paint on military vehicles is known for fading, especially the black, which turns to a bluey-grey.
Rapco paints also need time to cure...
I used to read it to my kids when they were little.
Basic gist of the story - if you give a moose a muffin, he'll want some butter to go with it, then some jam to go with the butter, then sit down in the house to eat it, then want a sock to make puppets while he's eating, etc...
If you...
There are two pressure switches, one for each set of tanks. You can test them by bypassing the switch - unplugging the wires and hooking them straight to each other. When the buzzer turns off, you've found the bad one.
On my 931, there is one up top and easy to reach, and the other which is...
Okay, nope, not on this trailer. It is an M1082nothing, maybe those are on the later models? Someone with a later version will have to fill us in (or maybe I'll find the answer in this 1000 pages of manual).
So, cranes that mount in the bed....something else to try and track down! This hobby...
I can check into the cost of scanning the manual.
It's maybe 1000 pages (counting both sides), I had to put it into two large ringbinders, even my biggest surplus binder wouldn't take it all! I'll look for a bigger one at the store later.
The problem for a lot of us playing with our stuff is...
I just received a nice gift of a paper copy of the manual. The thing is 4" thick!! I'll start looking in there to see if it covers bow and tarp installation.
Cheers
PS -yep, it's all in there (Chapter 14). The gear goes the way I had it figured, but doesn't say anything about the wobbly...
So, this morning I have been playing with...I mean checking out... Agazza's M1082. The bows are all there, but there are added bits.
The bars that I am assuming go in the positions marked on Fuzzy's picture, because they fit there, have metal slats across between them. I'm presuming this is...
