Hmm..Sorry to put a squib in your thoughts, But no way is that capable of 70MPH!,
69, MPH with 1600s and 2800 rpm is max with my 5-Ton. (Nav Checked).
Once only checked.
All and EVERY cruise to shows 55MPH. (Or Less).
SAFE!.
And a considerate 1850 RPM.
THEN..one gets to thinking about a WHOLE lot more!...'After the event'.
I was going to answer this thread initially with.."You don't". (Can't).
As a direct result of this post I am seriously looking to fit a disc brake in the transmission.
Welcome to the site, The hobby, Friendships and events to come, Your family will enjoy that beautiful looking truck more than you. The kid WILL (!(Especially)) 'love you teaching him to drive in it". (Orders!)...'More new blood into the hobby'.
I can't believe you said that!
15MPH, someone else makes a mistake...a truck like that with no braking just runs over the top of it.
On the public highway, try explaining that.
((And be very careful 'some official' reading this Might just look out for you)).

'Better actually'.
And you would see a few of those running around at events over here..(But not as nice as yours.).

I've had gel batteries for 9 years in the 5ton camper, Still going strong,
And kept in condition by two individual 12 Maypole intelligent chargers.
Most all the British military batteries are of a gel type now.
6.T.N.s are still being surplus'sed though.
And I was just going to 'quip', "You missed a speck of dust over by the ramp"!
Great shop, Great project.
Just a thought,..Woudn't that situation (Also) make for a great young student (helpers) project to introduce the young to the hobby?
If it is a sealed battery,(Of any type), Then no, there is no maintenance required.
That is the whole point of the battery being of the low maintenance type.
They are specially vented. (for pressure evaporation).
A good low trickle charge 'intelligent' battery maintainer is is a good idea to...
Welcome to the site and hobby.
Super singles are FAR superior to twins on the rear, NO other army in the world fits duel wheels on the rear of Combat fighting (Cross country and desert) vehicles.
And better lower R.P.M. Cruise,
And better M.P.G.
And better steering (Especially in the wet and...
Absolutely correct.
And the (Any) other doubting or incorrectly knowledgable persons should read the original Technical design and function specifications of the M.A.N. Multuifuel Engine.
They (the people reading, and trying to digest) Will find this a LONG and complicated read!.
Describing a...
I don't think any sealant is a long term fix (House garage or roof).. I got so fed up with leaks re appearing I mixed up a whole pot of 'boat type' 'Glass Fibre impregnated' resin with class mat in the mix and covered the whole VERY 'cleaned' and 'roughed up roof surface on the Kraz and my M54A2...
