    Engine rebuild update

The 10237141 blocks were cracking at the outer main cap bolts. Which should be 12 mm. In 97 GM went with 1255506 block. 10 mm bolts on the outer main caps. This made it a little stronger. If it was me, I would put my money with the GEP 6.5L blocks. A lot stronger. I hope the rebuild works out...

    M-1009 Transmission Coolers

I've pulled some long heavy loads with this cooler installed and the transmission fluid is still cherry red. A Trans cooler is a "must have" if you are using your truck to pull loads.

    Militaryoffroadtires .net

Not how it happened. When I was removing my flat tire the guy came over to me and said we could split the service charge. I said the service truck tech didn't have a tire for my trailer and that I would be making the trip into town and pick it up. I wasn't going to split a road service fee...

    Militaryoffroadtires .net

I had a bad dealing with him about 2 years ago at the GA Rally. He had a flat tire on the back of his Military truck and called a tire service company to come out and fix it. I had a flat tire on my gooseneck trailer at the same time, so I jacked the trailer up and removed the tire myself. I...

LED headlight gripe of the day

We had one of the LED headlight fail. Ordered two of the new LED's. They look neat. They costed $590 each(Military price) Now to see how long they last. I think they are 9v-33v multivolt and over voltage spike protected.

South Florida to Louisiana to recover CUCV-II at Jeepsinker's place.

Best of all I was able to just jump start the truck a drive it up on the trailer. It only has 11,600 miles on it. After new tires, batteries and a pair of headrests it will be like a new truck.
