    GETEC Hydraulic Welders

That's pretty cool. I just got a RR service truck with a hydraulic system on it, I might look into one of these. Probably lighter than a gas powered unit (truck is gas figured I would keep it the same, maybe even run a line from the trucks tank) and I could put quick disconnects on it so I just...

    240V 3ph on MEP-806B. Is it safe?

Your 220 motors will be fine at 208. The issue everyone here is pointed out, is that the hot to neutral is 120 when the set is running at 208 3phase. If the panel has computers in it, they are 98% sure going to feed off just one leg of the 3phase to the neutral, so they will see the proper 120v...

Douglas to packard change over time frame?

Does anyone happen to know when the packard connectors were introduced? My 1954 M37 has 99% Douglas but the ignition switch is packard. They seem to be factory, and doubtful the military did it, as the history I have is it was transferred to civil defense in 1961. But for other reasons I am...

    M-37 Engine Replacement

I just got a rolling chassis with an engine, not sure how good it is, it is locked up and has been outside. But the block might be ok. I can pull the head and see for you. If it isn't cracked I'll let you know.

    Mep002a phase connection switch

OK, after looking at everything till my eyes crossed, I got it figured out. Now I just have to sit down and do it. I bought brass nuts and bolts, and some lock tight to hopefully keep the nuts from backing off due to vibration. Thanks for everyone's help. I will let you know how it goes.

    Mep002a phase connection switch

I will take my time, just looked pretty overwhelming first glance. I'm guessing if a wire is at lug 8 on one switch, it needs to go to lug 8 on the new switch.

    Mep002a phase connection switch

Yes, exactly. I own several pieces of military railroad equipment, and the picture is of me hauling jet fuel at Shaw AFB.

    Mep002a phase connection switch

Oh man... I printed out page 91 and the page 98... Cuad4u, you might get a cheap MEP-002A when I smoke this thing... I think I can follow along but there are lots of terminals with the same number, and not all seem to be jumped together... I'll give it my best shot!

    Mep002a phase connection switch

Thanks, yeah I swear I looked and did find about loosening the bolts and soaking but not the tapping the end with a brass drift or screw. I just wiggled too hard or someone before me started the break in the shaft- either way thanks all for the help I will get it right tonight.

    Mep002a phase connection switch

Thanks for the direction! I will look it up and print it out, see what's what.

    Mep002a phase connection switch

Thanks, I looked in the TM some but must have missed it. I will look again. Yeah, I loosened the rods and lubricated it, but wiggled too hard I guess. It was stuck on 120 when I got it, and need it on 120/240.

    Mep002a phase connection switch

So I had a stuck switch on my mep002a. Didn't see the thread about soaking it and tapping, and wound up breaking the shaft. Then to add insult to injury, I pulled it out, causing a complete disaster inside the switch. I was able to get another switch from SCSG's parts stash- however it is...

How do you stop a m809 if the brakes fail?

I don't know about an 800 series, but government warehouses stop m35s pretty well...

    Crooked Exhaust Pipe

Ah, that makes sense. Explains the winch setup, I was trying to place it. And ditto on the nhc 250 straight piped being retarded loud. I blew my muffler out, but had to haul a tanker of WVO with my m818. After 100 miles into my 500 mile trip, with double hearing protection, I seriously...

    Crooked Exhaust Pipe

Looks to be an 800 series. A super cool really tricked out 800 series!
