True. I would go this route, and once you have a VT registration and plate (and you're feeling lucky) go back to the Virginia DMV and try and re-register it.
Worst case, rock the VT plate. They're butt ugly, but at least you're driving your truck!
You can register vehicles in VT from out of state. They'll even mail you your registration, plates, and a title (Even if you live across the country).

Looks like a great truck! It's too bad you couldn't drive it home like you planned, but in the end it'll still be in your driveway when its all set and done.

The windows on the Plan B doors would drive me nuts. They remind me of a drive thru window. I don't think there's much you could do about the window situation, because the doors have a bend in them that prevents a window from sliding down...
I have a 4" lift, and bought new brake hoses right off rockauto. They're for a stock height truck, but they fit like an extended hose would.
I would change them regardless. They're cheap enough, and brakes aren't something to cheap out on.
