That’s the beauty of it. I personally wouldn’t spend a dime for the transmission. Mine works just fine. I can go 70 mph and I’m good with that. You get one and drive it and spend some time with it your thoughts will change. 1/2 of the things that I thought I wanted before taking delivery has...
I believe as long as you mount your tires on the oem rims you will be just fine. My m1165 is higher than my m1123. I don’t know what they should be and I only know what I got. I would like to do a spring spacer and a 2” body lift. I’m still in the thinking phase. Probably 39.5 is what I will...
Sounds stupid but I have a routine that I do every time I start my truck. I have got distracted at the store and drove 1/4 mile with my emergency brake on. Lights on I’m pretty consistent with.
3.07- 42’s? Gets you m1123 gearing? I don’t know that’s why I ask. I believe everyone thinks 42’s look cool but some of the purest can’t admit it… I would like to have 40’s but with 16.5 your choices are so limited.
Bigger tires! Get some 42’s and you have overdrive…. Cheaper and looks way cooler than a transmission. That kinda of money and you can have body lift and suspension lift and huge tires. Hahahaha that’s my path and it’s not for everyone. I will put a Detroit locker in the rear also…
I worked on exhaust for a few hours today and spent a few hours getting all of that junk out of my resonator. I don’t see how it can breathe like that. It was weird after I got it cleaned out I washed it out with a hose and I couldn’t believe how much gold was in it. I bet probably 1/2 oz or...
I don’t know enough to know the difference between pumps. I don’t know if you can buy the turbo pump and turn it down for your truck. I added a wicked wheel 2 and I will straight pipe my exhaust and open up the air canister so I will turn my new pump up from 12 to 3 o’clock position. I also...
I’m getting close to doing the same thing and I want to aggressively clean my valley and coat it with POR15. I’m thinking to use foil tape or maybe cut up my old gasket and wrap it up with duct tape and maybe throw some short bolts in it. I don’t know until I get there. I will cut up my kids...
I was going thru garage stuff and I found this. I have had it for 13 years and I haven’t done anything with it. I have used it to air up my tires when I was to lazy to run my compressor and roll up the hose. It’s like brand new and it’s a commercial unit that I found in the desert. It was inside...
Did you get your truck yet? I took mine around the block for the first time. I wish my neighbor would have pulled me faster. Haha I should have had mine running by now but it’s either hot, windy or raining.
Not making much progress but I did drill, tap and cap a port for my EGT probe. I’m still on the fence about tapping my intake crossover or getting a boost bolt. I will look it over when I get the intake off. I assembled my over the top creeper and I think it’s pretty well built and everything...
Who would you suggest if you had to get one rebuilt? the whole world is out of new ones so rebuild is your only path. I got a new one like you suggested but I would like to get my bad pump rebuilt. I was thinking about DCP but not anymore. I think I heard about a place in porterville mentioned...
You have to remove the exhaust manifolds? That hole is center of the valley in a little pocket. I’m digging out sealer or jb weld or whatever Melton used to plug it.
