Well I was HOPING to actually HAVE some plates by this weekend, but it just aint happening! I placed an order for the first 12 (to make SURE everything it perfect before I place a larger order to be done). Looks like it will be after the weekend before I have them in my hands.
Definitely...
J- Looks like we both need to do another 5 ton! What are you going to do different on the next one??? I am thinking about building a mt for a 53" spare where the stock mt is.
But I am going to do a bobbed deuce next so I can use some of my new wheel centers on the HEMTT wheels!
Truck is ALL DONE!!! Will be picked up by the customer on Sunday. I hate to see it go! I am going to do another one just like it if I can get this other M818 that I have running!
Cleaned up and ready to go!---
Production starts tomorrow!
Well, I think I have it figured out now!
Here are the prices-

Well, I never did find a switch, but got the lights working!!!
Found that the master cyl was low on fluid. Filled it and the brake lights started working!!!
I dont know how or why... but they work now!:-D
Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
Yes- I figure there has to be a switch on either the pedal linkage or the master cylinder. I didnt have time to look today, but my guy tells me that he couldnt find anykind of a brakelight switch anywhere.
Thanks!!!
I have this semi-custom M818 being picked up by the customer on Sunday. All of the lights work except the brakelights. My guy says he cant find a brakelight switch anywhere.
Can anyone give me any tips on where the switch is, or other things I should look for to make them work?
Thank you...
Well, I went to my fab shop today to check on the wheel centers.....nothing! They say they will have numbers for me tomorrow.
We'll see... I'll post up asap!
We havent put a set of shocks on the rear of a bobbed Deuce yet--- I cant tell the difference.
But, shocks certainly wouldnt hurt anything.
I havent bobbed a 5 ton yet---- ---I would say you probably wont need them.
This thing looks better than I thought it would!!!
Just need to finish some welding/grinding/painting and this thing is done! Looks AWESOME!!! Better than I expected! I am super happy with how it came out!
When I get all all done, we get it all cleaned up nice for the customer, then I will...
Got the sides cut with the carbide blade---- cut very nicely- will use it on the next bed.
Welded and plated the bed back together--- need to finish welding. Will do that, and weld the end caps onto the dropsides on Monday.
Monday I should be able to get the bed finished up, and set it on...
What kind of pizza??? Can I get wings with that?LOL!
I have a good running M1028 available for $2500 for price comparison.
(Matt- this is the tan one---did a little work to it)
