John,
I haven't had to post an ad yet, but I do believe there is a some kind of minimum participation required in the forums required before you are able to. I wish I knew more to tell you, but that's it.

Gentleman,
Does any one know the direction of transmission coolant flow through the radiator? I'm installing a temp gauge on the intake side, and a large in-line cooler on the return side. I tried to let the truck warm up and feel the lines, but it started raining on me.
There are two...
I thought I'd share my experience in the event anyone else has this problem.
- I off-road my truck quite a bit and get it in some deep Florida mud holes -
Recently my speedometer would work for a few seconds then fall to zero. After a few days, it never came back to life. I disassembled the...
Some people will put the hub assembly back on, screw the same 4-slotted axle nut on the threads, then pull the whole assembly forward really fast. This will catch the inner bearings and stop their movement while allowing the hub assy to come on forward. The bearing and seal will be left on the...
The one that works best fits completely around the nut and the four teeth are facing inward. You may see one whose teeth are just pointing straight out, but that one isn't as easy to use.
It is a four tooth sprocket (usually 1/2" drive). Advance or Autozone should have it in stock as a "1/2-ton Axle Nut Removal Tool (or sprocket)". Ditto on laying it out in order.
Thanks for the link to the 4x4 website. After talking to a mechanic and all of you guys it sounds like it's a U-joint. Thanks for all the advice!
JB- I know exactly what you mean by that stupid fan! If I let the truck sit for about a week or more without running the fan or anything, it will...
Wow, awesome advice. I'll read up on how to check these. I've never done them before, but that -20 manual is really good. One "General" question... is this a long and/or difficult repair? Also, if I discover that I have a bad u-joint, are they expensive to replace? Again, thanks for the...
I dropped the t-case for the lift. It decreased the drive shaft angles to the diffs. I just replaced the front wheel bearings yesterday and really cleaned out all the old gunk in there, and replaced it with new messy gunk :) Don't know what this chirp is.....
I love them on and off road! They get rave reviews as being great on the road and great in the mud / dirt. I searched the internet for weeks trying to find the best ones... I looked at cooper, Mickey Thompsons, Goodyears, and more. So many people were talking about the KM2's that I eventually...
I had the exact same dilemma. After tons of research I settled on BFG MudTerrain KM2's. Tons of people have them down here (FL) and I go mudding all the time. This is also my daily driver, so I have to consider road use. I LOVE them. My buddy just got some Cooper AT's and they do so-so in...
1985 M1009. I have changed and tightened my belts, replaced alternator (new pulley), and replaced power-steering pump (orig pulley). For some reason, when I'm driving down the road and holding any speed, my truck emits a soft "chirp" (sounds like a little bird) that matches engine RPM. If I...
edgebar, thanks for the info. After having someone else work with me on this, I went ahead and ordered a 4" suspension lift kit that has most of the parts I was consistently hearing that I would be replacing. We'll see how it turns out. I've sprayed nearly every suspension part on the truck...
Smokeydod, That's a great point. To be sure, I'll have someone else take a look at them to verify they are or are not an issue. Also, thanks for providing the specs. The only reason I think they are shot is because they don't have any arc left, and the one on the passenger side actually...
