Depends on the type of hydro fluid. The flash point ranges from about 200 up to 320 degrees F. The gauge seems to suggest 320 in the wrecker is the flash point. like that modification, thanks for the post Jeff.
Not on my unissued M936A1 either. Cool idea though. I've toyed with the idea of adding a large oil cooler as the fluid will get smoking hot after 30 minutes of continuous use...
Yup, they sure will work. I pull my M1102 with Trucklite LEDS behind my F250 Super Duty and my M923A1. I wired in a military trailer plug next to my 7 pin plug on my F250. I acquired the military trailer receptacle from Erik's Military Surplus online. Just make sure all your clearance lights are...
I just picked up two of these at Barstow. I stacked the 2nd one on its wheels on the deck of the pulled trailer(cross chained down)Towed them 250 miles home w/o any issues. They will weave a bit at speeds above 55 mph or on rough Hiway like the 99 out of Bakersfield. Pulled them behind my 3/4...
Dude! So your the guy who bogarted both those units out of Pendleton? Ever heard of take some leave some? Lol, you scared everyone off when you popped $3,500 each. Yup, I'm jealous!
Same here with mine. My truck was a brand new never issued M932A2 with 9 hours on the meter and 90 miles on the odometer. CTIS worked great for a number of months until the cold snap here in Calif. The hiway light activates when the truck is fired up. Truck makes air pressure to normal range...
Sounds exactly like the issue with my M932A2 that has frustrated any efforts of diagnosis . What and where is the air valve you are describing? Any chance of a couple of pics?
There are a bunch of exceptions for tow trucks, garbage trucks and truck tractors. The front plate many times is mounted to the far left drivers side on over the road trucks. Also don't forget that in Calif the rear license plate shall be illuminated at night, even though its a reflective plate.
Here you go Calif VC: 5201. (a) License plates shall at all times be securely fastened tothe vehicle for which they are issued so as to prevent the plates
from swinging, shall be mounted in a position so as to be clearly
visible, and so that the characters are upright and display from left
to...
The plastic retainer slide was broken on one of my trucks in three places yet the soft top was in great condition. I took it to a top shop and he stitched if back together and aligned the broken plastic retainer slide for $20 bucks. It looks and worked out great :0)
i wish I still had the pics I took of two US Army M915A1's each pulling a 40' two axle semi. They were headed to Barstow DRMO loaded with 8 each M1102 trailers in mint NOS condition. The trailers were loaded tongue high at a 45 degree angle with each additional trailer sandwiched similarly and...
