    Track jacks carried on M113

I found a set of M113 TM’s so if you have a question I can dig them out of the huge stack of manuals and see what I can see.

    Handle Assembly

I was sorting through the big pile of parts and found this doo-hicky. It’s definitely a doo-hicky. I thought it might be a thing-a-ma-jig but it didn’t have the correct part number. Through skillfull sleuthing and annoying perseverance, I figured it out. It’s a pieces part off a tank. What it...

    Parts And Radio

There is a base for that part. Pictures below. The canvas part is also pictured below. It is part of the frame webbing for packing the PRC 10.

    Parts And Radio

I found some info on that anchor buckle. Seems there’s a company called “North and Judd”. They’ve been making stuff since the 1860’s and possibly even earlier than than. More than likely, my buckle was made for WW II and was finally placed in service for Korea/Vietnam. The pictures are of a spur...

    Parts And Radio

For now, my plan is to use it on my Gun Truck War Wagon. I have a radio installed in it but it’s missing parts and is for show only. If I can get this working, I have 2 PRC-10 ground radios that will be able to communicate with each other. Other than for re-enactment scenarios, I don’t have a...

    Parts And Radio

I’ll get some better close ups. The radio set-up to the left is a PRC10 on top of a power source. As for what I’ll be doing with it, I’ll set aside those things that I’ll need for my M37 and sell/trade the rest. For now they’re sitting in the bed of the truck waiting for me to get through all...

    Parts And Radio

I hit the paydirt on some M37 stuff. Got some radio gear, some drive shafts, bunch of gaskets, bearings, seals, etc. and other stuff I haven’t identified yet. I got all of it from the same estate that I bought the M37 from. Pictures below. In one of the photos is a buckle with a ships anchors...

Honoring the Proud American Gun Truck

I have a couple questions if I may, during your displays, do you let people into the back of the Proud American? Also, can I get a close up pic of the door armor hinges? I have the steel plates for War Wagon but I’m stumped on how to mount them. Awesome display! Definitely see some areas I can...

    5th wheel spacer

Change 1, revision 2,3,4,5... okay, the tan 5th wheel is missing some parts. It appears to be repairable. I was looking at buying the parts when another avenue opened. The 5th wheel on the M931 will fit on a M52. However, some prep work must be applied. Since I had the M818 tractor adapter...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2018 - June VOTE HERE!

Some additional photos of Toys For Tots. In addition to the obvious Christmas lights, I put together a home made sound system. The lights are LED and are powered from a 750 watt inverter. I found a brand new, still in the packaging, 12 volt AM/FM cassette car stereo at a yard sale for $5.00...

MV of the Month June 2018 Nominations

Here’s my 1972 AmGen M35A2 Toys For Tots truck. It’s led the Cheyenne Christmas Parade for the past 8 years. Every year we use it help collect toys both during the parade and at other Toys For Tots events. Last year we collected 16,850 toys, 70+ bicycles which helped 1,432 kids have a great...

I crisscrossed a couple lines. I figured it out pretty quick though. Was replacing the injection pump and got a bit confused putting it all back together.

    5th wheel spacer

Got some more done today. Fixed broken ground for the RH fuel tank and installed the the RH fuel tank deck plate. Surprisingly, it fit with minimal swearing. And I took some pics of the installed parts plus the repair on the LH fuel line.

    5th wheel spacer

More pics. Patched the fuel line on the LH tank, found out that when hanging the fuel tank shields, the brackets get bolted to the shield, then install the assembly onto the spare tire carrier.
