Update: I've been looking all over the truck for evidence that this truck may be a M42. It is a 1952 truck. Is has data plates on the glove box but the only thing written on them is the trucks serial number. There are also three data plates around the steering wheel. There's a map light next to...
Got the truck home. One heck of a retrieval though. Very tight area. Very small "barn"! We arrived at the home of the owner thinking we'd be done fairly quickly. After all, it's just a matter of pulling it out and loading it up, right? Nope, not even close. It took almost an hour to maneuver the...
Hi, I hope I can assist you in questions or concerns about gun trucks. I am no expert on Gun Trucks. My specialty/AFSC/MOS was helicopter maintenance. I did a bunch of research on Vietnam War gun trucks before I actually started work on my own gun truck. My M35A2 "War Wagon", is built to...
After building War Wagon (still am for that matter) I've been looking at my other trucks, trying to decide if I really need a second gun truck. No such thing as overkill, lol! If my War Wagon were to leave me, I'd put another truck together rikitiky!

Ft Collins Colorado is having a 4th of July Parade. Unfortunately, the group who was going to support them with military vehicles ha bailed out. If you are in the area of Northern Colorado or SE Wyoming and would like to participate, contact Marti at (307) 630-5010. As I understand...
Got a question, all the data plates are made of brass or a brass colored metal. Also, the data plate indicates the truck was built by Doge, a division of Chrysler. Not sure if this is a 1966. After checking several specimens on the web, I'm thinking maybe a mid fifties truck. As far as I can...
I found a M37, I think it's a M37B1. It's said to be a 1966 Fairly straight, has a winch, heater and trump seats. Top is in poor shape. Little to no rust. It has a couple "upgrades". One is a V8 engine and the other is power steering. We've already shaken hands on the deal, just waiting on the...
Welcome from Wyoming and to the M1009 fraternity. You are in luck! You have a front driveshaft, it appears your fuel filter has been replaced (with the 6.5 install) and your antenna mounts are still intact.
I need to get more photos one of these days but until then:
Do you have a radiator repair shop near by? I've used this option repeatedly with good results. It's not a perfect option but repair shops will repair/replace parts and pressure test the repaired radiator.
oops, disregard.:jumpin::jumpin:
Sounds like maybe your brake lines on the passenger side have some kind of contamination. The master cylinder could have contamination in it as well. It doesn't sound like the booster is involved unless it's picked up contamination from the other components. First, pull the passenger side front...
