on my ham radio I will have to do that but for my music listening I only have 2 radio stations in town, or an mp-3 flash drive which is what I normally use anyway.
I can safely say I have been in over the top of my tires. and with current it was a lit of work for the truck to push up stream. with out a modification to the draft tube I would not dip it much past that.
here is some pics of my radio and speaker install on my lmv. I had lots of room overhead so I built a console over head to install the radio in still have to add the 2m ham and may add some switches to but tunes is a start. the only down side is the modern lcd screens are intended to be viewed...
Where have you all gone for a keyed 12 volt ignition source for radio power on your lmtv's. Just now getting around to installing my radio so I can listen to my country western music on the road.
A 12 volt battery has 12 volts of potential from one terminal to the other, regardless of where it is it in the circuit as long as you charge from positive and negative there is no need to isolate it. if you short cut and don't know what you are doing you are going to let out the magic smoke...
the lake wood yard is shared with a cement company Justin gave me some good instructions had no problem with pick up I fixed the no start on site and drove mine away.

should add an alibi that the newer boxes may be variable ratio where as the older ones will be fixed ratio but mounting points are the same you will also need the ps mounting plate to attach the box to the frame.
I would go to a wrecking yard and get the steering box with a pitman arm, they were the same pn right up to early 94 I have a late 70's pitman arm on my 89 right now its what I could find in a junk pile around here when the splines wore out. If I wasn't the only one with a dodge truck still on...
I have 13 k of dirt road mileage on my lmtv, with only an oil change, a couple door handles ,and an cab air bag replacement. I spent 6 k on it, its a daily driver, and a work truck, other than the climb to get in to it, the worst part about it is the price of a weekly fill up.
