Soft brake pedal when not running?

I do have a backpack sprayer. I'll read up later--thanks!

GL cluster in Frankfort, KY yesterday

I don't have my notes sheet with me right now but I *think* that truck is not currently up for auction. I can look at my notes when I get home.

Soft brake pedal when not running?

Thanks, I'll prepare for this possibility. First I'll show my ignorance: what's a regulator? I have a little inflator that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I could either park close enough to use that, or find a way to wire it to 1 of the 2 batteries I'll be bringing along... But my...

GL cluster in Frankfort, KY yesterday

Yeah not only that, but the auction was reduced from 60 trucks to about 30, AFTER bidding had started, because they pulled all the lots that had no pics up. Maybe this is commonplace but I was a little ticked. I had already bid on one of those.

Soft brake pedal when not running?

I looked at some trucks in Frankfort today and on a couple of them the brake pedal would easily push all the way to the floor with little / no resistance. Others felt firm. The ones that had no resistance, the trucks would not start (dead batteries) so I could not give it a chance to build up...

    Non-original paint colors/schemes

Somebody, somewhere, has surely painted a Deuce in team colors for tailgating, right?

    Frankfort, KY Recovery 10-01-09

Yep, that was me! I wondered how far of a trip you had ahead of you when I saw the Ohio plates. I was born and raised near Troy, OH. If I do end up getting one I only have about a 50-mile trip home, now! :-D

    She is finished!

Gorgeous! So you didn't have to replace any body parts sounds like? What about prep underneath? Thanks for sharing.

I think I probably saw you there, I was there for the next preview and I saw a couple grinning folks picking up their trucks. Glad to hear it went well for you!

    A paint job, at home.

I'd like to know more about what you had to do in terms of disassembly and masking things off. Looks like it was fairly simple...

    A paint job, at home.

Fantastic. I haven't even bid on one yet but I want to do the same.

Is there a GL FAQ somewhere?

I am going to a preview tomorrow to consider my first Deuce and I just read in another thread that someone bought a truck that has a missing data plate and now it has to be a parts truck. Now I'm frightened. What else don't I know? Need a FAQ.

    Short notice Frankfort, KY 10-1-09

Hey, good news: a customer of mine (metal roofing) in Frankfort is going to go along with me. I know he's made a living buying and selling heavy equipment in the past, and he told me he's owned a couple of Deuce's. Might have brought on a little competition for myself in the bidding, but with...

Yes, GD can be a three-ring circus (or worse). However, the technical forums are well-moderated and just so full of excellent gun knowledge. It's a great resource. Also the benefit of GD is that at any given time you've got 1,500 to 5,000 or more members online. With such large numbers online...

There are over 60 trucks in this auction and most of them do not have pics posted with them. I'll just have to look at each one.

Here's a dumb question: what do I look for to see if the truck has a heater or not? I understand that few of them do.

Oops I Did It Again, Deuce #2!

Mike that is awesome! Are the colors grey, black and silver? A little hard to tell on my monitor...looks GREAT regardless. Have you ever done a thread about this truck and how you got it in this shape?

Hello all, I'm brand-new here, referred from AR15.com member Gunwritr who bought a Deuce and a trailer last year and posted a thread and pics about it over there. The notion has caught my fancy and I'm planning on attending an auction preview in Frankfort, KY on 10-1 (there is a second one on...
