Rusty, have you ever heard of or used Molykote G? A friend of mine introduced me to it decades ago, and it works great. They advertised Molykote G as having microscopic ball bearings.
Spanky, I agree with Superman. I think the hole is an illusion, otherwise GP would have listed something so obvious. Plus there would be trans fluid on the drive shaft and surrounding area. Let us know what you find when you get her home. Pics please.
