Well blew another head gasket :(

Drock, it could be a cracked block too. A cylinder could be cracked and be pushing combustion into the block cooling jacket.

    Cooling upgrade system.

Here is the latest update. Solid billet 5 axis CNC machined rear 6061 aluminum plates! This will allow us to supply our new client (the largest Humvee operator in the world) with the kits in volume! Just a quick pic from the freshly machined parts. They will be hard anodized as well.

    CUCV Cooling System Upgrade Kit

Here is the latest update prior to the above mentioned new kit. Solid billet 5 axis CNC machined rear 6061 aluminum plates! This will allow us to supply our new client (the largest Humvee operator in the world) with the kits in volume! Just a quick pic from the freshly machines parts. They...

    CUCV Cooling System Upgrade Kit

Well we are taking pics on Monday of the full CUCV kits. They are shipping starting Tuesday. So you have two options: Buy the full CUCV kit and no other modifications are needed to your truck, or buy a Humvee crossover and buy the Hybrid kit. Either way they function the same way.

    Cooling upgrade system.

Ooooops, corrected. Yes it's a good thing, hence 'but' changed to 'and'.

    Cooling upgrade system.

A little update. Here are pics of the next gen kits available for the CUCV trucks and civilian 6.2/6.5/6.5Ts and also HMMWVs in the coming days as the last of the BLUE kits is sold out (we will continue to support the potential needs of BLUE kit owners for spares). The big changes are we are...

    CUCV Cooling System Upgrade Kit

Just a little update to Rusty's update... We are now onto V3 of the CUCV HYBRID kit (those CUCVs with HMMWV crossovers) the V3 has our new hoses which are now a stainless steel braided hose with a soft rubber outer layer and a coated end as well so they will not rub into the soft metal intake...

    X-door refinishing

Basically you are doing fibreglass repair and as such are using resin and depending on the level of damage matting might be needed too. Bondo is for metal repair on the cheap.

    Sets of hard doors..

Back in my Motorsports days we built many many fiberglass, Carbon Fiber, and Kevlar body parts for road race cars. It is all about the moulds. Building these from dimensions is not the way to do it. If I were to do this I would start from a very clean set of doors and build the moulds then...

    700R4 Conversion

I think I came off as negative on the 700R4, as a matter of fact it is the opposite. We install a similarly modified unit to what is being described here. The difference that I was pointing out was only that this was NOT a bolt in solution for the CUCV and certainly not for the HMMWV. That is...

    700R4 Conversion

This is a nice set-up but far from a bolt-in kit. You still have to fabricate the transmission mount, TB cable mount and bracket with adjustability to fine tune it, mount for the dip-stick assuming it is long enough(most are not), shift linkage, shifter mechanism, and there will be more...

    CUCV Cooling System Upgrade Kit

With all due respect, while there were/are cooling kits out there, the devil is in the details. We are the only kit that does NOT utilize the heater circuit to attempt to return coolant from the back of the block. This seemingly small difference is actually quite a large one. With the heater...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I have been on fire in a racecar, not cool. Fire system and good safety equipment saved me as well as practicing egress from the car many many times just in case. I don't own a vehicle with combustibles in it that does not have at least a halon fire extinguisher in it. Overkill perhapts but I...

    CUCV Cooling System Upgrade Kit

We are not a large shop and we are OK with low production numbers so long as the product is top notch and is an improvement over what is or was out there. So far we have only done things that we found were substandard to our expectations and could be done better. I don't want to be a mass...

    CUCV Cooling System Upgrade Kit

Many years ago there was a movement to improve cooling and reliability in race engines by not running a thermostat. The theory was that they might fail closed and kill an engine and that more flow was better. Well they quickly found that the high flow did not give the coolant sufficient...

    CUCV Cooling System Upgrade Kit

Thank you for your input and comments. We have a patent pending so we do have some protections in place for those that want to try to copy our system. We have completed the R&D and have civilian kits shopping the first of November. In fact you can pre-order right now on our site. We have not...
