I have an A0 truck so no diagnostics connector (well only for the WTECII) There is a way to fab up a "y" cable to be able to plug in the CTIS into a computer. I started looking at this about 2 years ago but something more shinny came along and I forgot most of what I was doing back then. I...
I am wondering if there is anybody with a setup/software to connect to the main unit (box) here in Washington. I would like to try and see if there is a way to "reset" the 5 solid light issue. I have an idea that a fault code is set in memory and stopping the unit for working. I am also...
Yeah... when someone on the east coast hears "Washington" that automatically think DC and not the state...
and all of the good LMTV stuff is on the east coast...
I found these to be an exact fit and size... Needa 450920
I do not recommend Autozone because of their "convenience" premium. But they had them...

I would like to get the stock unit working and would only do this as a last resort. I haven't spent much time on researching this yet. I would really like to see if we can get a way to fix the stock units.
I have not looked myself but I have been told these units are potted . If true these is nothing to repair component wise. Do you have the software to take to these units? If there is still a way to communicate to these units I am sure they can be fixed. I think there maybe a code set in them...
Did more detailed work like putting the heater back in, grill back on and replacing the Packard connectors. All of the rubber is rotten. Truck is running very well. Its also looking good!
Now on to the next issue. The CTIS box has the 5 solid as in not flashing lights. I know where was some...
One heck of a ride troubleshoot this issue. I started on the power side and took a close look at the circuit breakers. They looked awful and a couple fell apart. Did a resistance check and a couple had high readings. Off too the store to get some fuses. I thought for sure I found the problem...
Batteries charged up and no joy... I added some oil to bring the level up a bit.... No joy... I know what I am doing next weekend. Going to check the connections. Don't think its the output speed sensor. The speedo works and if I am reading the prints right the speedo signal goes through the...
That part number is the U S Army Tank Automotive Command and the number that Stewart and Steveson/BAE uses. That number can be hard to cross. The TM gave the Stewart Warner part number. Some times the TM only gives the U S Army Tank Automotive Command number. The best way I found to get a...
Do you have the part TM? The part number called out is 506AZ and a quick interwebs search comes up with this here https://www.finditparts.com/products/11748022/stewart-warner-506az Don't know if that is the correct one but the number matches. Take the number to NAPA and see if they can cross.
I am going to start simple... First I will take out each battery and charge them up one at a time. It will be a couple of days as I only have one smart charger. I'll report back when I am 100% sure all battries are at 100%. Could it be this simple?
First off a big thanks for the WTEC II manual! and the info!! I had no idea how to pull codes out of the TCM.
Code is the infamous 25 11 rabbit hole. So before I go to deep I checked the oil. There are 3 marks on the stick. Cold full, Hot add and Hot Full. IT is at the Hot add mark. I only ran...
