Been to Greenham Common many times when it was a tanker base and again with GLCM. I was at Bentwaters/Woodbridge, Then Mildenhall twice and Upperheyford, NCO academy at RAF UPWOODand many points in between . Love England, but the old England Iam afraid not the present situation. would like to...
Good suggestion ! Try a little blast of air 2 to 3 psi down the DONT LEAVE THE TANK CAP ON, and watch out for back spray , you should hear bubbles and feel air exiting the tank fill
I have one, its gas fired, will try to take some photos, basicly a small tort gas fired burner with a 12 volt circulating pump and QDs. Here in the north Skiders and winter equipment use them all the time as well as "PIGGY BACKING" where you have your truck coolant system tied into the Dozer...
Aircraft arnt as susceptible (nor Helo's) all the fluids are all ready good for arctic operations as a rule, Remember when at altitude its not unusual to find forty to fifty below Most helos can manage 10k ASL , some 24 K , Hangaring isn't really good for them , your better off leaving the jets...
Just a thought , do you have a one way check valve installed in line in your fuel line, Not all goats do, it was a late TCTO , not long before they got rid of them and not all were done , I have noticed they didn't seem to get through TCTOs as quickly on Goats as they did on other trucks. just a...
I doubt it would cause the problem your describing, I had a little leak on the return line on the right hand tank for about a year , just enough to bug me, It would start hard if you let it set for a number of hours, Ie I would have to crank and crank and crank , would count to 25 slowly, then...
I would offer that if the components were all strictly 12 volt and they didn't use a transformer , they simply tapped the battery bank on the 12 volt side. not uncommon ,the 931 and most 900 series do the very thing . works! Some would argue that this shortens battery life, I run my 12 accys...
Am curious to see the results of your pump rebuild, appears to be a classic gerotor pump, They are known for being just about bullet proof, If you have time check the rotor to wall clearance with a feeler gage. Unless play is excessive they usually pump, I assume your changing packings/gaskets...
I keep up with prices on Mil web and my brother in law in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, lived in the UK for 12 years off and on in the 70s and 80s , Am interested, where are you located in blighty , I would ship thru Bayonne NJ, closer than Vegas if I were to pick up this coast or Vegas if I were to...
My grandkids have logged hundreds or hours between two M 561s an M-109A3 a M 38 and a few hours in an M 931 A2 , from aged 3 , now my grandson is ten and drives with me on my private road. great hobby
I have read of there fielding , but only in the USMC goats I did get one of mine that had a FAR radar, ground to air missile launcher on it in the last life, still have the brackets on the carrier and the placards , but the unit was pulled off for separate sale before I bought it. would like a...
Reasonably patient, at least 1/3 cheapskate , I look look and look and look, until I find a good price and good quality , I don't sell anything as a rule , and I pay cash for everything I own, I tend to give away parts to guys who need them if I don't, Mark in Maine is a fantastic asset. We...
