If you are going into the biz of repairing gen sets, then I would agree with you. But if all you are ever going to have is a 5 KW gen set, well, I would advise you to think about it again. Its a two men and a boy lift. Its a 30 KW load bank. For the money you would need to buy a A427, you could...
Could be a case of the military needing a lot of PP7 valves, and the PP7 can also be used in equipment where a PP1 might work. Logistics always plays a role. In the power generation arena, we use the same parts in different applications, where it would have been a possibility to use something...
No, not a possibility. Did you check the linkage set up that I sent you? Take another picture of the L5 and linkage. Then a film of it in action, from start up to you turning the S1 to off. When you turn S1 to stop, will the L5 change position? Did you look at the throttle cable info I sent...
Its closing in on 00:00. Got my two Thugs, (Grand Sons) coming over in the morning. Got to be fit to keep up. So will be here till then. Maybe someone else can jump in here if you need more help.
2-89-4. Adjustment

c. Loosen jam nuts on both speed adjust bolts on governor control and turn bolts counterclockwise until they do
not touch speed lever...
Also, do you have a multimeter that reads hertz? If so, stick the leads into the 120 Volt outlet. Start the set. What is the reading? Can you use the Hertz adjust knob, (Item 20) to adjust it?
I did the same thing, the first time a screwed with the linkage. You are now a member of a very exclusive club.
In the first vid you posted, it kinda looked like that was the problem. But wasnt sure. Thats why I asked for another.
Pictures are worth a million words.
I think your problem is this. Look at the attachment. I pointed out the Bolt, Washer and Special nut. When the linkage is hooked up right, the Bolt, should move freely in the slot on the L5 arm. Freely. It kinda looks to me like the linkage is tight against the Arm. Also, the arm looks a bit...
Indulge me. Film the Linkage arm and the L5, (Fuel Cut off Solenoid). Have someone turn the S1 to the run position, and then 3-4 seconds later to the start position.
I am dyslexic. Math is something that causes me to go stupid. The worst thing someone can do to me, is give me a math problem, like 1+1= 2. I got the button problem right. Took two tries, but I got it right. So will you.
