I agree, why inherit someone else's problems. Besides if he is parting out a truck with 20,000 miles on it there most be a lot wrong with it. The other thought would be to give him $500 for the whole truck for parts,
Have you had any snow worth playing in lately? When it does does come, I would love to see some action video on how well your blower works. Been contemplating on picking up a FLU and retrofitting a blower for it like you did. The County I work for has fourteen 911 communication tower sites, and...
Make sure you fully charge and load test your batteries. Weak or bad batteries will cause a multitude of issues as your finding out now. Your relay may not be bad because you still had to jump it when testing, just saying test & check your batteries.
Great price if it turns out to be minor repairs. The guy I was trying to deal with was a owner to an auto repair shop and it made me leery when he said he would not install the starter unless I committed to buying the truck. I thought to myself, what is he trying to hide? Go figure. I guess ill...
How did Mike treat your wallet. I had one on the hook up hear that wasn't running and he wanted a running price "4k". The guy said its the starter and he has a new one for it but never bothered to install it. I told him I wouldn't buy a truck unless I heard it run; he wouldn't budge.
Been there once about a year ago, Nice older gentleman, small retail store stuffed to the gills with low value WW1 and later dated clothing, arm patches and such. Large property with little parking, a few large out buildings but I didn't feel welcome or weren't allowed to wander through his...
What are the LED plow lights retailing for? I'm waiting for the LED truck-lite headlight prices to fall some before I buy. I love how they look on your Mule.
I noticed my passenger side pulley is slightly out of alinement also. Tried to shim it with a washer but didn't help much. I put new belts on 5 years ago and they haven't giving me a bit of trouble nor are they wearing oddly. As far as the squealing, you have to have them real tight or try some...
Ideas for new threads; "What's the name of your Trucks". Or when you reference your trucks are they "Male or Female"? And those that don't have a name as of yet we can start a thread "Name that Truck"
Welcome from across the pond. Great looking project. Are the 1009s hard to find there or pretty common? You will find a trove of info here at SS and the way your project looks I'm sure you'll be adding some of your own.
You can run 70-80 all day long and the 1009 wont miss a beet. But the constant engine drone will wear you down. Music filled headphones are your friend.
And hey that saw will cut them ties without a problem. And you could do it wearing a 3 piece suit and not get dirty.
And he doesn't even have to climb in the truck.
