    Slantback b pillar alternative

So the main support structure of the slantback roof is the turret support ring that connect to the windshield frame, b pillar and the sponsons. so far I have only found one website that sells that support and they are asking 1700 for the little piece of metal; so I was wondering if anyone knew...

    Shops that replace brake pads

So I've talked to Firestone and Les Schwab about replacing the brakes on my M998A1 and as soon as I tell them its inboard disk brakes they won't touch it with a 10ft pole. Any one know some major auto repair shops that would replace brakes on a humvee/hummer h1? Any in the Seattle, WA area?

Two Problems: Power braking And Rear left tire vibration

Les Schwab was able to deal with the run flats. They took the rim off, took the tire off, transfered the runflats to the new tires and done. Im in Seattle, are there any places you can think of that have that machine.

Two Problems: Power braking And Rear left tire vibration

It could be a possibility because I haven't checked if the half shaft bolts are completely tight. This afternoon I'll be checking all 24 bolts to make sure they are tight.

Two Problems: Power braking And Rear left tire vibration

The weights were taken off the outside of the rim and I don't see them on the inside. Les Schwab barely knew how to take the rims off. Where else would they put the weights?

Two Problems: Power braking And Rear left tire vibration

I just looked at my pictures from before and after the tire change and Les Schwab seems to have removed ring like weights around the rim. Before there were two weights on the left rear tire on one side of the rim. Afterwards they are not there.

Two Problems: Power braking And Rear left tire vibration

First Problem: When I brake, I can hear a whining sound and with hard braking the pedal starts vibrating a decent amount. Second Problem: Recently I took off old goodyear tires and replaced them with BF Goodrich tires (same size, load range) to match my two front tires. I did keep the old 12...

    Biodiesel Conversion Kits (HLine)

So I was looking into converting my old M998 to a HL80 transmission to help with gas mileage and speed, but then I found the H-line conversions. As I saw on their website, its a 500 HP upgrade and 25 MPG for the bio diesel system they put in. Now I do not know much about bio diesel systems...

    Difference between M998 and M998A1 & Engines

Ny data plate seems like it was never replaced or tampered with, but my vehicle has a SN beginning with 153 and the delivery date says 04/94.

Heres a link to a google drive with some photos of the data plates and the vehicle. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2qtBa6UyYjXYUFMVnJqeDI2MUU

    Difference between M998 and M998A1 & Engines

I got that information from wikipedia, so it could be wrong. It had two dates 1994 to 2004 and 1994 to present. Is there any way to tell the age of the vehicle if the data plate is wrong? Currently I am unable to register the vehicle at its current age, but if it was 3 years older I could...

    Difference between M998 and M998A1 & Engines

So I cannot find anywhere what the difference is between an M998 and the A1 version. I notice the weight of the vehicle was increased by 180 lbs. So what did they add? Also, I saw that 1982-1993 humvees and hummers used the 6.2 NA, and 1994-2004 that its all 6.5 NA's and Turbos. So my vehicle...

    Horn troubleshooting

I feel like mine was too quiet. You couldn't hear the horn in the vehicle even with the engine off. It sounded like it was clogged with mud or the speaker was damaged. Also does it matter which way the cables are plugged into the horn itself?

    Horn troubleshooting

So I finally got to replacing my old horn (old horn was very quiet, couldn't hear it over the engine) and I bought a new horn from eBay. I plug it in and test it and all I hear (engine off) is a decently loud clicking sound. I thought maybe the plugs are backwards, so I reverse them. Same thing...

    Humvee slantback & hardtop questions

Anyone know where to find the last remaining slantback kits? If I decide to setup my vehicle in a GMV config, where would I find that special forces GMV C pillar for the turret roof? Has anyone ever done a GMV setup? and if so what did you use as a divider between the cab and the now exposed...

    Humvee steering wheel stuck

Do you know of anywhere I can get a replacement for the shaft that connects direct to the steering wheel. When I took the nut off, it practically came off without my help, and the treads were stripped. It looks like I'll need a replacement but all I can find is full steering column replacements

    Humvee steering wheel stuck

Has anyone had their blinker light on the control box stop working when removing the steering wheel?
