Steve, congrats on your new M1038. Doesn't look like you have a lot of work to do to have a really nice truck.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

A good buddy of mine used to catch rattlesnakes and turn them over to one of the local colleges in San Diego, to be milked for anti venom. If the college was closed, he would keep the rattlers in 20mm ammo cans with holes drilled in the top for ventilation. He would then keep the cans in his...

309th Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Group

I was at the Cebu airport in the Philippines last year, and the Philippine Air force had several C-130s that they were using for spare parts. Good to see them getting some new aircraft. They also had several Iroquois (Huey's) that were being used for parts as well.

The C-130J is a new build aircraft. Up rated engines, 6 blade props, increased cargo capacity, modern avionics. I think they are still built at Lockheed-Martins facility in Georgia. The C-130A models first rolled off the production line in 1954, and the C-130J is still in production today.

What have you done to your JEEP today

That's half the battle. In this day and age you can pick up good body parts to replace the rusted stuff. My M38A1 needs a wiring harness and a carburetor rebuild. Hope to get to it in the spring.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

AZK9, I think M35A2 trucks with the LDT engine all use the same exhaust stack. Trucks with the LD, non turbo engine, use a different exhaust stack and mounts, and have a muffler.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

AZK9 Thanks. I like your idea for locating your Solargizer. I don't like to drill holes in my Deuce either, and was looking for a spot to locate mine that didn't require drilling, and got adequate sunlight .

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thanks Ahab. There is a thread here on Steel Soldiers with info on using WD-40 as a temporary paint restorer. Some of the guys had good luck using it, so I thought I'd give it a try.
