    CUCV Cooling System Upgrade Kit

What about a thermostat housing spacer? They're available with 1-2 threaded ports and I think the 6.2 is a typical sbc shape.

    Turbo cold air intake idea.

This is confusing without pictures. Sounds like a good way to pre-oil your filter.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I was able to drop mine with it on all 4 tires. A trans jack makes all the difference.

Installed a Class 3 receiver htich on M1009

The semi float rear and regearing the front 10 bolt is the quickest way to something worth a **** axle wise. I have seen aftermarket hubs for the full float 14b with 6 lug option.

I did the same mod a while back. Tightened up the steering when out on rocks so much. Now when I turn the steering wheel the tires actually do what I ask.

    Lift kit for M1009

They have angle finder apps for smart phones. Without pictures I cannot give suggestions. Your need to adjust the steering linkage from the pitman arm to the knuckle. It's at the drivers wheel well. It's easy to figure out. Cant help on the brackets for the brake lines. I use extended lines...

Shocks, opinion, recomendiations or what are you using?

They were probably the same shock  bilsteins are the best "cheap" shock imo. I put them on all my daily drivers if I can. I've got tuff country brand shocks (made in the USA) and I can't say they're great. I plan on biting the bullet on some fox 2.0 shocks once I get the extended mounts...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Some counties use a spray at the beginning of the season but mostly they just put down sand. Chains and studded tires are legal here (and actually mandatory depending on conditions).

    D60/14BFF Axle Swap on M1009

I used a barns shave cover before I put mine in. No welding required, just cutting the giant lip off the bottom and running 1 less bolt. There are more expensive kits that take way more work if you need more clearance.

That's rough. My newest vehicle is 10 years old and is spotless as far as rust goes. My last truck was an 01 (got rid of it 2 months ago) and it too was spotless.

Yea the military style terminals and cover are far nicer than what I had on there. Would you suggest loom on all of it? I was planning on putting it just on the cable from battery 1 to battery 2. Figured the other cables weren't loomed from the factory but were tied down.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Finally got the materials to extend some wires for my new battery setup. So much more room and startup is nice and quick now. Had to extend the glow plug wire off the battery and 1 battery cable. Remade another a bit shorter and shortened up the ground on the rad support. Still waiting on a new...

I'm probably wrong but I'm going to guess he's talking about this piece.

I think on nearly every square body those rust out. I just made new ones with some sheet metal.

I've found a decent amount of it at rock auto with reasonable shipping prices in comparison to lmc

Ah so you paid someone to do it. Never mind then.

How'd that go? I still have a full lock kit to install in mine. Doors and even the rear isn't bad but that ignition is intimidating.
